Easy to use right out the box, my 11 is having fun making the bracelets, the beads are a decent quality, and comes in a variety of sizes.

Easy to use for young children

My pre-teen granddaughter loves to be creative and comes to visit often. I like finding activities for her to do, that will continue to fuel her creativity when she visits, so I ordered this kit. She was really excited to use this kit to make bracelets for her friends and she even made one for me. The instructions for braiding the bracelets aren't always easy to follow but she managed to figure out how to make all the designs. A nice feature to this kit is that you can store all the supplies inside the loom, making it easy to keep everything together. The only down side to this kit that I can see, so far, is that my granddaughter is going to want to make more bracelets than this kit can provide, but that's okay. I can always go buy her more supplies and she can continue to use the loom from this kit to make as many bracelets as she wants. This kit is a huge success!

She has used beads in the past which is a great intro, but when they break the beads are everywhere (-:I’ve bought colored string in the past to encourage making braded bracelets, but we couldn’t learn how to do it, even with several you tube videos.We bought this set as it has everything you need to get started and best of all the bracelet loom with pegs. You follow the instructions and it uses the peg to teach you how to braid 7 types of braids. Some are complicated but we were able to do the simple ones out of the box. This will build confidence to try more. After 5 bracelets, she didn’t use the loom anymore, and braided herself from memory.Check out the pictures to get an idea of the booklet and what’s included.Quick Pros:Comes with everything you need to get started. If you like it you can buy more string of different colors, but this is a started pack before spending all that money. It's everything you need to get started.One interesting thing with this bracelet kit are the 7 unique knot styles. Good for hand/eye coordination. Does it look like it's supposed to? It was about $16 when I ordered it and Walmart had an almost identical kit for $10. Right now they are doing the whole bait and switch by cranking the price and knocking it down for black Friday. The kit itself is pretty basic and comparable to other kits. But the materials all feel pretty cheap, mostly with the strings/ropes. The materials do not look nearly as nice as advertised. I wouldn't order it again.

I remember when my girls were young and loved making, wearing, and giving bracelets. I uncovered one in my desk the other day. Now it’s the grand daughters turn and I expect the same enthusiasm again. This is a nice starter kit with an adjustable braiding loom. The big problem I have in getting stuff like this out, is keeping my wife from wanting to make one.

When I was a kid I used to make these types of bracelets all the time. We didn’t have fancy do-dads to make it easier like this though, we had to tape each end to a table and hope you didn’t pull too hard on it. lolSo when I saw this it brought back tons of memories and made me long to show my own kids how to make these kinds of bracelets.The kit comes with a lot of great colored strings and I really like that they can all be stored inside the bottom of the board/mat thingy. Very handy.The board itself seems like good quality and sturdy.I’m looking forward to teaching my kids how to make these. It’s gone be so much easier with this tool!
