Little Pilgrim's Progress: From John Bunyan's Classic Paperback – Illustrated, 17 Dec. 2012

I purchased this book as it is required for my sons schooling reading. I have read pilgrims progress myself and have a good concept of old English but still found it hard going in some parts. What this book does so well is to bring out the most important parts in a easy to understand way, it leaves out the theologic terminology often found in the original, but conveys the spirit of the meaning to a childs level.I view this book not just as a work of fiction but as a wonderful and spiritual help that always agrees with the truths of Scripture. I think it is wonderful reading.Highly reccomended.

I bought several of these as gifts for the children at one of the churches I preach in. Much easier to read for children who want to get to know the story of Pilgrims progress. Obviously there are slight variations to the original story but the general theme is the same and little pilgrim has the same struggles as Pilgrim did do. Love it and so too did the children that I bought it for.

Bought this for my nephew 's birthday and previously for my daughter's. It's the perfect retelling for children of a bestselling of all time after the bible. My 8 yrs. old daughter loves it so she had read it twice to keep it close to her heart.

I had this book read to me as a child and I remember really liking it. My oldest two children are now 5 and 6 and they are enjoying it as much as I did. The language is simple enough for them to understand with minimal disruption for extra explanations and each chapter is very short so it's great to read in instalments. Little Christian's adventures are still as gripping today as they were back in my childhood. An excellent buy!

Reading this to our young people's group, ages 8 to 17 years, they are really enjoying it, aiding understanding of biblical truth and personal character. My only other comment is that for our group the naming of Christian as "little Christian" is a bit off putting, we substituted "young Christian". Mark, Scripture Union leader.

Very good book and arrived in good condition

I bought this book for my 7 year old grandson, after reading a similar version to him that I had loved as a child. He reads a chapter in bed every night and enjoys it as much as I did. A very good purchase, which doesn't 'dumb down' the language used by Bunyan, but makes the story very readable.

Brought this for my 3yr old and we've been reading it at bedtimes. The chapters are short but it appears to match quite closely to the original so I'm getting a lot out of reading it too.
