I chose this Bosch washing machine to replace my broken Miele. I was shocked actually to find the shortest eco wash at 20 degrees was 3 hours and 15 minutes for the cycle, and this is for up to an 8 kg. load. If you choose one of the shorter non-eco cycles of around an hour, the machine only takes up to 4 kg. I do like to use an eco cycle, and hopefully it is true when they call it an "eco cycle", that I really am saving money on water and energy. The eco machine cycle trundles on for such a long time, that I often wonder about this though. When I take my washing out of the machine, I find it is terribly tangled up, this compared to my previous Miele. I think the Miele had a design feature, because of the way the drum revolved, the clothing did not get tangled. On the bright side, the clothes do come out very clean after the 3 hour 15 minute wash! But I worry about my clothes being washed for such a long time, each time. The wear and tear on the fabrics has to be questionable, surely, on such lengthy washes? Another reason I have only given 2 stars, is that within 8 months, the machine was not spinning. I had it fixed under the guarantee. There was something which needed replacing. The engineer ordered in the part, then had to revisit the following week, all very inconvenient.

A very good appliance that works well. Unfortunately slight damage to top, possibly caused in delivery prevents a better score.
