love. more positive attitude about that time of the month.
arrived perfectly.sterilized it bottled water in the cleaning cup that it comes with for current use.I appreciate that it comes with every thing that you need: carrying case, sterilizer cup, and your disc.I also love how girly it is.backstory:i joined the disc club about 6 months ago.i had been using tampons because i hated the feel of pads.starting disliking tampons due to ph issues.so i decided to switch to the disc after learning how they were a better option over cups.i went with flex disposable discs after Reddit research. there was not much of a learning curve for me with inserting or removing the disc.flex disposable was great, but i sometimes noticed having cramps right after putting them in. I appreciated the auto dump feature with them, but they leaked for other parts of the day.finished up my box of disposables and began researching for a reusable option.I noticed that hello disc, moonthlies, and lumma had some of the greatest reviews.I almost went with hello disc but after reading reviews about recent bad batches, along with the price + having to purchase items such as the carrier/storage bag separately discouraged me.I also looked into getting the moonthlies disc, but was hesitant due to the ladder pull string. similarly, I turned away from the lumma disc after learning about the uncomfortable & flimsy pull string.thankfully while researching these other discs, I found reviews every other post about heyhera/formoonsa and decided to look into this one. upon reading those reviews and these on Amazon, plus seeing the price and all that comes with the disc, I was sold.no issues sterilizing with the cleaning cup, just don’t close lid all the way.it went in with ease.& so far no leaks. yay.(sharing review using husband’s account)UPDATE: see third photo.. make sure smoother side is up/goes in first for more ease. no leaks whatsoever. I love it. 🤍update 5/12/25:to prevent leaks and keep disc in place, I’ve found that inserting double rim/ridge side first and ensuring this part is resting on pubic bone instead of the smooth side works best. on heavy days, when the smooth surface is resting on my pubic bone, I experience leaks and disc sliding out of place.

WOW. Passed all the test even for my sensitive self
So I am a first time disk user, I tried the disposal flex disks once but after multiple leaking nightmares, I told my self never again. I knew I wanted to find a disc that would work for me because tampons were not cutting it and half of the time they’d leak before they were even full. I heard about this cup through the furmoonsa brand on the Period Nirvanas website which is by the same creator of heyhera. Since the furmoonsa disk was so hard to find I figured I’d give this one a try.SIZING AND WEAR : I got the regular size because after measuring myself I realized I had a high cervix and that’s what hey Hera recommended. Now this WORRIED me because the flex disks always seemed too big for me, but I’m so glad I got the regular instead of the mini. The regular is still pretty small!! Inserting it took a little practice because the outside rim is pretty firm so you need two hands and maybe some lube. I would make sure you are putting the from where it should go bc that really makes a difference. Once I put it in I literally could not feel it at all! Is was so comfortable!! I’ve had two full days of wearing it and being out and about exercising even SWIMMING. I had one small leak yesterday, but that was because I didn’t empty it when I woke up and it was the tiniest of leaks. I will say, I have a very heavy flow and I do have to empty this thing regularly. Maybe like 3 times a day. I’ve just gotten into the habit of “bearing down” when I pee as if I’m straining and then I allow the cup to auto dump. This has been soooooo convenient. Once it’s all emptied it either popped back into place on its own or I just push it a little so it’s super secure behind the pelvic bone.EMPTYING IT: I was worried this was going to be a huge struggle since my cervix is high and I was actually debating on getting a disk with a string. HOWEVER, It’s been really easy! The little notch is right there in the front(make sure you put it in right) and it’s easy to grab. It stays in the front I guess because it’s and oval so it doesn’t rotate around much. But yea I just popped it out and rinsed it off in the sink and then popped it back in. The only time i had difficulty was after sex (which it works GREAT with btw) it kind of got a little rotated afterwards so removal was interesting, but I just rotated it with my finger a little so I could get the notch then pulled it out. I really love this thing!! I was worried the designs would bother me because I read some reviews on that and I’m very sensitive, but I actually haven’t felt them at all.Sorry if this is long. This is like one of my first reviews lol. But I wanted to be thorough!

Formoonsa Disc Vs HeyHera
The media could not be loaded. I came across HeyHera and saw that it looks exactly like my Formoonsa disc from Taiwan! From the videos I saw a difference in the firmness so I decided to buy it. I prefer HeyHera because the firmness helps with inserting. PeriodNirvana rates Formoonsa a 3 in firmness and I’d say this is a 3.5 like the Hello Disc.Hello Disc: I love this disc except that I find it leaks quite a bit BUT the oval shape of HeyHera keeps it in place. I personally experience a lot of movement down there and let me tell you these oval ones DO NOT MOVE! Despite there being 3 notches for you to pull on, I have only had to use the front one because it doesn’t move.Flex Disc: If you’re a beginner I recommend a firm disc because they’ll go straight in, I started off with the Flex Reusable disc and it’s the easiest to insert! However, I find that they do leak quite a bit more than any other disc I’ve tried but for insertion it’s good. (Practice with their disposable ones to save money and if you don’t care about having a reusable one)Overall I rank this as my top disc. Hello disc is second because of easy removal. I’ve tried cups and I’ve had no luck with finding a leak proof one. HeyHera is by far the best disc I’ve tried! The packaging is a bit overkill, I hope they soon offer a bundle where you can try both disc sizes without paying a hefty price for fancy packaging. That said, if it’s your first disc, the packaging is beautiful and the kit has everything you need to get started!
