I was a little hesitant to buy some balsa wood from amazon after seeing lots of reviews of other listings arriving broken or cracked. I was very happy to have these arrive in perfect condition! This is such a great buy considering all the local craft stores near me want to charge upwards of $4 for just a single sheet! I'm using these for a kinetic sculpture and they seem like they'll be nice and sturdy! There's no warping and all pieces look fantastic! This is definitely worth buying!

I like them, but they are very thin. They warp and are no longer flat. I have to attach them to a backing board. Also, 12 x 12'' is not a good size for framing. They must be cut to 9 x 12 if I want them in a frame. It would be nice to have some 11 x 14".

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but these sheets are really terrible. The wood veneer on the outside is incredibly thin, so it chips off easily and shows every imperfection on the layer underneath it. That layer is very poor quality, with dark streaks and small holes throughout, making it look like the sheets have mildew or water damage. It is completely unsuitable for woodburning. It still works for dollhouse miniatures (sort of), but doesn't cut cleanly, so be prepared to do a lot of sanding. That being said, it is pretty strong and would work fine if you were to paint it.
