Purchased the light to illuminate dark spaces and computer keyboard on desk. Works great.

This skinny guy lights up just the right amount by you bedside or for reading. Will not light up a whole room, but has 3 levels of brightness that give you just enough for bedtime reading. One of the levels is a nightlight, and just enough soothing light to make you feel safe, LOL Maybe only 3 inches in diameter with the long stick ight, very securely inserted in the base, no putting together. You will need an USB outlet, as it comes with about a 3 foot cord, but no outlet. The control switch is nice, it is about 1.5 feet away from the base, so easy to find at night. Hey, get this skinny little guy and have it light up your life!!!

This lamp is nice a night light, not so much to light up a whole room. A useful feature that this lamp has is that it has three different brightness settings, bright, medium and dim. The lamp's connection does not have the prong that fit in a wall socket, instead they have a USB connection plug. The lamp also has 3 light settings, daylight, nature and warm light. In short, one looks white, one has a yellowish tint and the last has an orange/amber tint. I normally keep the lamp on the dimmest setting so I wont stub my toes on furniture or bump into anything since I try to keep my bedroom very dark. Overall, this is a nice lamp to keep in the bedroom.

The media could not be loaded. First the numbers. It has three colors, 5500, 3900, and 2800 with a color rendering index of 66, 71, and 67 respectively. It draws 3 watts at 5500 and 2800, and 5 watts at 3900 so even a very old and limited USB adapter will power it. There is no flicker at any temperature or brightness.Subjectively. It is light with a foam rubber bottom that makes it easy to move and set somewhere and then it will stay put even if gently nudged. It gently transitions with fades from off to on, through the setting, and back off again. The warmest setting of 2800 is unusually warm for a lamp but the other two settings seem appropriate for various tastes are time of day. The diffuser is a soft silicone cover that works ok. They're definite hot spots with the LED lights under the diffuser. The brightness can be set to one of six settings with short button clicks or any brightness can be selected between the minimum and maximum by pushing and holding the button and letting go when it gets to the desired brightness. However the lamp has no memory so when you turn it off it won't return to the last setting. To turn off you always have to go and cycle through all of the settings. Using the lamp always requires multiple button pushes. Using the lamp to light a desk leaves long shadows so it really works better as indirect or maybe an accent light.
