I bought this item for a Renaissance festival and honestly loved the look. I am a very tall guy, 6'4, and on the thin side, I enjoyed wearing it both as a cloak, which it covered all of my torso and as the cowl/shoulder look. It was a blast and gave that bit of edge to the look I was after. Pretty fun experimenting with the pin set up, and I will note you will likely still need to adjust it back into place from time to time. But well worth it. The fabric is pretty thin, so you aren't going to cook in it besides attracting sun light. So enjoy the way the wind picks up the fabrics and whips it around. Makes for a pretty awesome look.

First, it is not as long as it appears in the picture. Also, while the fabric is plenty wide, it is relatively thin. So in order to get a full appearance, you'll have the fold the width either in half or about a third over itself.It breathes because it is not woven particularly thick. Fabric is cheap obviously, but it's not really itchy or uncomfortable (although I guess if you have super sensitive skin, it might be too rough for you). It catches well on other fabrics, which gives it some grip/staying power. Not very warm because it is a dsiplay piece obviously. The ends of the fabric are loose and prone to coming undone/splitting, so it won't take many wears for the ends of the scarf to fall apart. Kind of works with the vibe of it thoughOver all, I just wish it was maybe a foot or two longer in length

Material is cheap and thin, basically just a rectangular piece of fabric. You can make your own for less than half the price...

I love how light weight this is! I wore it to a Ren Faire in 80⁰ heat and it managed to help keep the sun off. When I didn't need it as a cowl, I used it as a sash. They do provide free pins with it but they're incredibly flimsy. I would invest in something a little stronger.
