It works with the aftermarket controllers.
Works as it should. The lights are pretty bright.

Keep the controllers stored and topped off!
I really like to have our controllers put away when the kids aren’t playing. Having a charger for all of our controllers to rest on is super helpful, and the kids know that if they aren’t on the charger, than they might not get to play later if the batteries are dead. It’s a win-win.

So far so good!
Love how easy it is to mount the controllers. The light indicator is nice. And it’s soooo nice to not have dead remotes!!

YOU MUST READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!!!!!
So I had just received this today and upon first inspection the item didn't seem bad at all. It all came and looked as described. However upon installation/connecting this device It seemed as tho the item would only turn on and the lights would blink for a second and it would just go back off. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in several times and after 10 tries it only lit up twice. After some further investigation it seems like I had to hold the plug in in order for it to stay on and that would not do at all. Afterwards I tried using my original Nintendo type c cable and plugged it into the unit and voilla. It lit up instantly and stayed on. Be advised that if your unit does not turn on to try another type c cable that you for sure know works. I have contacted the seller about this problem and hopefully they can send me another type cable without any hassle for myself. This is the reason I gave it 3 stars and not 4 and depending on what their customer service is like the rating is subject to change. Onto the "MAIN" product itself and why I think it deserves 4 stars. Although I have not used it longer than a day, while testing it I plugged in my original switch remotes and the light turned from green to red indicating that they were charging. When the light feature is on the lights stay green when nothing is plugged in. While charging it will turn red and back to green when fully charged. The original switch detachable remotes seem to need a little finessing in order to get onto the charger since you have to find just the actual inch portion of the slide in area on the lower part of the unit to plug in the remotes. This means that you don't slide the remotes completely in the same way that you slide it into the switch. Theres only an inch to slide the remotes into and depending on how rough your kids are this could lead to damage of the unit or your remotes. This also applies to the pro controller plug in. It doesn't just slide/plug in smoothly like your ex. It will take some slight finessing to plug it in and if your not careful you will break the charger. Hopefully the charging port doesn't break into your controller in a way that it wont come out. It feels a little sketchy and wabbly. With reasonable care however these should not be an issue although this is still something to think about. If I was to worry about anything it would be the pro controller plug in and not really the console remotes.the lights are not too bright in my opinion and I wouldn't see any issue going to sleep in the living room with it on. It will basically act as a night light. Keep in mind that even when nothing is plugged in the green lights will stay illuminated. If it bothers you there is a switch on the side of the unit that allows you to turn the light feature off. This feature could also help you to save a little power. While holding the unit it doesn't feel to have any adequate weight to it and doesn't really feel sturdy or quality. KEEP IN MIND however that this thing only cost me 14.99. With that in mind this isn't a bad item all considering that the type c cable that comes with it actually works. Speaking of the type c cable its also important to keep in mind that it feels like its of a cheap build. Hence why mine didn't work when I received it. I highly doubt that the cable could transmit data like other more high end cables. Mine has the brand DOBE inscribed on the top of the usb portion so theyre probably outsourced. As long as it will work with the product however all that is fine and dandy. Im not knocking on its build quality to deter you from buying it but i just wanna make sure that you as a buyer are aware of it before buying. You get what you pay for and for less than 15 bucks and compared to other products on the market it may not be the best product out there but its also really not a bad product at all. I would totally recommend this product to newer gamers and if you end up loving/using this product a lot and decide to buy another after this eventually breaks than that's when you should probably just go for a more sturdier/quality product. As a friend once taught me. If you plan on getting a tool without knowing if youll always use it or need it just get a cheap one. After it breaks or gives out on you and you can justify the price to use ratio on that item then you can go ahead and get a more expensive, quality one. Don't just go ahead and buy an expensive item that youll rarely use and then have to sell it for far less than what you paid originally for it.***Update- So I contacted the company about the issue with the type C cable and they gave me a complete refund the next day for the unit and told me not to worry about returning the unit. With that type of customer service there should be no reason to worry about trying this product out. If something doesn't work they will handle the issue no questions asked and no hassle to you at all besides having to contact them about it. All in all I will order another type c cable instead with the refund money but for now continue to use my other type c cable with the product till then. I Like this product and I would buy again. If you want one without spending much money this is the one.

Perfect for my extra joycons!
I got this so I would have a way to charge joycons on my couch's side-table and I wouldn't always need to plug them back into the switch console, which is tiring when you have multiple pairs of joycons. This is great! I love how it lights up to tell you when they are charged and it is easy to put in and remove the joycons. It is also nice to have that on/off switch on the base of the charger so you don't have to unplug it to get the lights to turn off.I also used this with pro controllers. I like that it provides me a place to keep my pro controller and it takes up less space then when the controller is laying on the table. It is a bit hard to find the plug on the pro controller since you need to plug it in upside down, and taking it out is difficult because it is securely plugged in and you need to brace your hand on the tops of the light up towers in order to have enough leverage to unplug the controller. That being said, this is totally doable, but might need some explaining if you have a friend over who just picks up the controller and the rest of the charging stations comes up with it. Don't wiggle it, just brace your hands and pull straight up or you risk damaging the charging station and controller. My boyfriend liked this setup so much that he bought one too! I would recommend it if you have more then one pair of joycons!

Very Good Value for what you need
I imagine most people buying something like this are looking for ways to keep their switch controllers fully charged on the go and not idley sitting by while the battery is being drained. For that reason alone, this product fully hits those marks and the overall design is done very well for conveniency. The USB C to USB A charger allows you to conveniently connect the appliance to the actual switch doc where everything is simultaneously being charged, even when you're actively playing the switch on docked mode. The lights display the battery life as you can see my joycons being low battery while my pro controller is fully charged. The most glaring criticism, as most others have stated, is that the charging portion for the pro controller/switch is very wobbly, as it's just the single charging port holding the device upright. I would suggest to keep the appliance in a secure place so you may not clumsily knock the whole thing over.
