Top printer in my collection!
After owning several (4) Sovol 3D printers and recently adding the Klipper screen to my SV06 Plus, I knew that the added features of the SV07 Plus made the printer a worthwhile purchase for me.When the printer first arrived I was very excited to get it put together. It was very well packaged as all of my Sovol printers have been in the past have been and there were no sign of any damage to the printer or any of the components. 2 of the 3 bed adjustment wheels did appear to have loosened during shipping and the wheels and springs had to be threaded back onto the bed adjustment screws which was no big deal. Other than that, assembly was a breeze and I had the printer put together in less than 30 minutes. The printer includes both bed adjustment wheels/springs as well as the static mounts if you prefer to rely on the printer to maintain your bed level (similar to SV06/SV06 Plus). With this printer I opted to use the bed adjustment wheels and haven’t had any issues with prints not sticking to the bed. Just make sure you calibrate it correctly and well the first time and you shouldn’t have any problems. It’s also a good idea to print a first layer test to ensure that your z offset is correct as this is a huge factor with prints and how well they’ll stick to the bed. Unlike many of the previous printers that I’ve owned, the L and R Z motors in the SV07 plus are able to make independent adjustments and the Z-Tilt bed leveling has been spot on for me and I’ve had nothing but beautiful, perfect 1st layers on all of my prints.I’ll also say that Klipper has been a game changer for me and is a perfect match for the SV07 Plus; this is by far the best printer that I have (or have ever had) in my collection. With the exception of the large part cooling fan this is the quietest printer that I’ve used. It may be due to the use of V roller wheels in the SV07 over linear rails but it is certainly a welcomed change in my opinion. I mentioned that Klipper has been a game changer for me and I mean that. Having the ability to send prints directly from my PC to the printer over Wifi and not having to move an SD or USB back and forth between pc and printer has been such a convenience and should be standard on all printers moving forward. I’ve also recently switched from using Cura to Orca slicer and added settings in Klipper to probe the print area and run z tilt calibration before every print but I’d suggest first sticking to the basics until you settle into and get to know the printer first. There’s a lot you can do with klipper but you don’t want to over complicate things right off the bat.All in all I would agree with the other great reviews of this printer. I already have several printers in my collection and didn’t think that I’d own another “bed slinger” but after adding the klipper screen to my SV06 plus, my love for 3D printing has been re-energized and the SV07 plus is now my all-time favorite which will be my baseline for any future printer comparisons. It’s been a fantastic printer and one that I can trust to print just about any job that I can throw at it not have to worry about the job failing. It is a printer that I will continue to recommend to all of my 3d printing friends and the price and features included make it a worthwhile competitor to many of the more expensive printers available today.Pro’sKlipper w/touch screenIncludes double sided PEI sheet and additional adhesive bed sticker.Hard bed mount points for bed OR bed leveling wheelsIncludes Accelerometer for input shapingTool Tray for storage with included tools (I love this)Built in LED lights on the print head which can be turned on/off from klipper screenVery quiet and very fast printing!ConsPrint head ribbon cable is flexible and can potentially get caught on the gantry fan. I printed a simple cable “spine” that holds the ribbon cable out of the way.

First week nothing but issues and 2nd printer same thing
2-10-2024Well there was no way I could get a decent print from this machine. The LED sparked as I mentioned below and went out. Leveling (traming was impossible) I went though 2 roll of filament and nothing stuck. Now with 6 printers and years of experience Sovol does not work (At least for me). Spoke to Amazon and they told me to return it. OF course now I need to find another PLUS printer as this was supposed to fill that role. Cant trust this to run unattended as I do my other machines2-8-2024Went ahead and purchased this once more since I needed a larger printer and could not find one that would work so I figured let me try this again.Opened it today to put together. Packaging was very nice, everything snug.1st issue: noticed the build plate was up in one corner and thought it was bent. Actually the tramming wheel had come off (or was never put on) and the screw was sticking up pushing the plate up. So I fixed this.2nd issue: The left side Z axis rod was separated from the coupler and was sticking up thought the top mounted bearing. Had to put that together. So i tested everything for tightness and turned on the machine. while checking all the connections on the extruder head were tight, a spark shot out from the connector for the lower led lights. Apparently the cable was loose and sparked. So rechecked all connections to make sure they were in. Turned on the printer and said a prayer. Everything seemed to be working so went through the leveling processes (which by the way is not in the correct order). I sent a test print from the usb drive and it turned out ok. Lets hope this is not a ticking time bomb. Even though Amazon says 30 return policy, they dont really want you to return items to often or they label you as being bad. SO i wont return this and keep chgging along until it either works good or I toss it into traffic. Good luck on your future purchase-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I have almost 10 years 3d printing experience, so I am not new to this. . I purchased this as a Christmas gift to my son. I decided to give it to him as an early gift. So we put it together and that was easy enough. WE followed all the manuals steps to tram (level the bed) and would have issues with lousy first layer quality. Prints would not stick and if the did the first layer was rough. SOmetimes I would get errors on the klipper screen. I tried higher temperatures on the bed plate and nothing seemed to work. Changed filament brands and that did not work. Tried Orca slicer, Prusaslicer and Sovol cura version. I will keep trying for now but if i do not get any satisfaction i will return this. Too bad they did not follows the Sovol SV06 structure but decided on the old movement system.NOTE: After almost a full roll of Filament I still could not get this machine to level. So I returned it and ordered a different brand. I really wanted to like the Sovol as they are supposed to make good machines, but reverting back to POM wheels was mistake number one. Not everyone buys a machine made for "beginners" or to save a few dollars on sub quality builds.
