Love this device holder!
Overall, I love this device holder. I have it attached to my computer desk next to my monitor and it hoods my kindle. There is a little bit of bounce, but it hasn't been too bad.I saw reviews about the product breaking easily - I haven't had that issue, but my only intended purpose is for my kindle. So it stays on the holder till I need to charge it, so I'm not removing it too often.Overall, very pleased with the purchase!

Does not work
Holds my kindle just fine. The part that is suppose to attach to a headboard, desk etc. does not work. It is also a little shorter than I’d like.

Does not fit IPOD PRO
I bought this for a gift for my husband. It doesn't fit his Ipod Pro. It was too small. But it's very sturdy and has a good grip for a smaller device.

Needs to be longer
It would get five stars if it was longer

Has bounce even though the bendable neck is very stiff.
This tablet holder is a very important part of my business. It must hold my tablet securely while I quilt. It’s not quite as sturdy as I had hoped but it should work for a while anyway.

Not for a Note9
I wanted try this product as an option to the tablet holder stand. I love the stand 100% better.Cons:The phone/tablet holder is garage. It has a cheesy foam piece super glued to the end to hold your device. The holder can't hold my Note 9 phablet with it's thin case. I immediately got the holder from my stand to see the difference. Oh my, a big difference. The holder that came with my stand is slightly wider and slightly longer AND doesn't have that stupid foam piece. In time, this foam will come off. Very poor design. Too bad they couldn't use the same idea as the clamp gripThe clamp is awkward to secure. It's advised not to over tighten the clamp but overtightening seems to be the only way to prevent it from moving and coming loose on various objects. The arm is hard to adjust. If you're getting this for an elderly person or anyone who has grip issues please don't get this product.Because I can't use the holder I had to substitute it for the one I have for the stand.... Frustrating, but useable. Luckily, the backing off each holder is similar so it's interchangeable. I'll have to find another device that will work with the holder that came with this product to see if I will actually keep it out return it.The packing isn't that impressive either. Ugh!Pro: the only pro is that I may be able to still use it for the purpose at work. This is only viable because I can change out the holder from another product.

Remember, this one is for tablets...
...and tablets are a problem. While viewing area increases as a square, the volume (and weight) increases as a cube. So a tablet with three times the screen area of a phone won't be just three times as heavy, but a lot more (about 8 times more). That is the basic problem with the concept of an arm holding a tablet. It cannot hold it as it were a phone, there is too much of a difference between 110-140 grams and 750-1,100 grams. The only solution to that problem is making the arm sturdy. Anything flexible will be useless, the tablet will bring it down. Since the arm is fairly rigid, that causes two further issues: the clamp is going to suffer if you try to flex the arm into a more comfy position; the arms itself cannot be too long, because of torque forces that would need the clamp to be made of adamantium (and you'd pay more for the holder than you did for the tablet). So that is the limitations of this product: it's rigid, it's short, and it's unlikely to have a long life. If you want something rigid, short, and that will last you for years, well, feel free to pay 5x the price.Time to move on to the less evident corollaries:1. This is not for the elderly. Unless they have someone fairly strong around, willing to move the thing as they need. It is very rigid, it has to be that way.2. Don't buy this for a phone. You'll have better options for something that barely weighs above 100 grams. This is for us, who got a sturdy, heavy, rough tablet.3. The clamp is made to be put on a horizontal surface. You cannot clamp this to a head board and expect it to stay in place, or not to break. Think about the difference in centre of mass when you try to use this sideways: it's not going to work, you're going to break it on the first use.4. The clamp is plastic because it cannot be something too rigid. It needs a small degree of flexibility. A base of aluminium or even steel wouldn't fare much better --you're fighting the torque created by a 1kg tablet about 0.5 meters from the point of attachment, limits of engineering stuff (unless, of course, the whole thing where permanently set in place, but you don't want that).5. If you want this to last, you have to face this simple reality: keep it in place. Don't move it around, don't try to flex it while clamped on, don't go around fiddling with it. You give it the right shape first, attach the tablet to the holder second, secure the holder to the arm third, and clamp the whole thing on a flat surface last (the clamp has a wide range, that's a plus, from half an inch to about three inches). This is a product that requires common sense. And intended for tablets, not phones. A god-send if you are careful, fairly strong, and don't need to be moving it around while already in place.

allows various sizes and positions
I had a stand for cellphone, but this will hold either cell phone or ipad, so like it much better. It is strong, firm, well constructed, and holds onto the side of my bedside table. Thank you.

Works exactly as I wanted it to
I needed a 3rd monitor at work so I got my old iPad running duet in, and boom it worked. The only issue was I wanted to mount it up so I could see it, and this stand did it perfectly. I used this stand to clip the iPad to my monitor so I can raise, lower, and swivel both the iPad and the monitor at the same time.Only issues are that the clamp doesn’t seem very strong. If you over tighten it I can definitely see it breaking. Also the bendy arm bit is very stiff and you need a fair bit of strength to move and shape it. Setting it up was an absolute nightmare because of how rigid everything was plus me worrying about breaking it.But still, I got my iPad mounted, I can work fine, and I don’t think about it at all so 5 stars all the way

Nicely surprised!
I bought this to go on vacation, to have as 'portable' holder. It worked SO WELL! It is flexible and strong enough to hold my S6 Lite tablet all night. It takes a bit of maneuvering, but can be done!
