Pretty great for what I paid
I've now had this laptop 6 weeks now and so far I'm really impressed. For what I paid (£380), I got a laptop that ticked all my boxes for a cheaper price than I could find anywhere else.It has a nice display, not amazing but it is good. I've seen better, but only on much more expensive laptops. Keyboard is nice enough, backlighting a good bonus and the I/O slots are fairly decent with 2xusb 1xusb3 1xusbC 1xhdmi 1xmicro-sd(i think), a headphone jack and AC adapter. Unfortunately it doesn't support USB-C charging, which is a bit of a let down as it's so much easier to carry a USB-C cable, compared to the full A-C adapter and brick.Design is nice enough in black, made from plastic but doesn't look/feel cheap. Nice thin bezels, sleek and modern (not that modern) design. Webcam is decent and speakers are okay. The whole thing is a fingerprint magnet, which is a bit of a shameThe 12th gen i5 is really good, and a big step up from my previous 9th gen i5.16 gb of ram would've been perfect but a loss I was willing to take. I then looked to see if I could upgrade the ram, task manager said 2 of 2 slots used, but later found out that my model has ram that is soldered onto the motherboard, meaning I can't upgrade . Another loss that isn't a huge deal for me, but might be for others. The Intel iris XE graphics are decent if you want to play older games or games like civ, fm, csgo even fortnite should all be able run fine but if you want to properly game on a laptop just get one with a dedicated GPU.That being said, the graphics are a huge step up from previous intel graphics.Overall I am very pleased with this laptop and would recommend if you are fine with 8gb ram, non usb-c charging, finger prints and if you're looking to spend under 500. For 380 I'm really impressed, I still cannot find another laptop with a 12th gen i5 for this price.Maybe the ryzen laptops at this price could be slightly better, but I much prefer intel personally. For me it's a 5, but just.

Get this and a pair of headphones - you won't be disappointed
It's a capable laptop that out performs others at this price range, don't buy any of those other laptops that are like £400 for a celeron 💩 top lol. I bought it for £359.00 if you can find it for around that price it's good.Pros:- Decent CPU, i3 12th Gen- NVMe SSD 512GB, fast and more than enough storage.- Good 1080p screen- Backlit keyboard, great for typing at the dead of night- Modern & slim, fans are extremely quiet.- 8GB RAM is still perfectly capable, its not really a dealbreaker would have been better with 16 but most likely upgradableCons:- Built in Speakers aren't great- Battery life is OK, about 5-6 hours depending on usage, not the best not the worst might be more on Battery saver mode but i'm just using it on normal settingsIt's not a gaming laptop as you might expect from MSI, but its more of a productivity laptop and for that its perfectly capable, been able to do everything I can on my main PC on this laptop minus gaming without any slowdowns. It can play some light games like Roblox or Minecraft for example, but don't expect great performance on, because it doesn't have dedicated GPU. Although can provide some benchmarks:Minecraft 1.19 (12 chunks) - 80fpsRoblox (4/10 graphics) - 50-60fpsCSGO (720p low) - 50fpsFortnite (1080p performance) - 40fpsGTA V (720p Normal) - 30fps- Get this laptop and some headphones, if you don't expect a gaming laptop you won't be disappointed.

A highly-capable work laptop
Great laptop for a WFH editor. It's not perfect, but it's got enough juice to get me through the work that killed my previous 4GB RAM laptop.I'd describe it as a workhorse. It doesn't have a touchscreen or super-fast load time, but it's got the RAM and memory to tackle complex tasks and a million Chrome tabs without breaking a sweat. Dependable. I have no regrets.Pros:- Lovely for typing on, the backlit keyboard is excellent,- Capable of handling more complex work tasks and software,- Good sound and screen brightness.Cons:- Fan gets quite noisy,- Matte black shows up greasy fingerprints like crazy!- Takes more than a few seconds to load up (it's noticeable).
