Great tool for your toolbox
Used this tool for putting up some shelves at home and it made it super easy marking out the fixing points and getting it all level. Highly recommend this!

A tape measure should not be difficult to use!
Agree with other reviewers, the manual is absolutely useless. I am technically minded and I class myself as reasonably intelligent but really, after reading it over and over it made little sense. The screen is tiny and the text is hard on the eyes. This brings me on to the reason why I returned it.I assumed that when you pull out the tape, it would register on the screen. It doesn't. It's purely for the laser. Now I wanted an easier way to read a tape measurement without straining my eyes, so this isn't for me.The positives are that it doesn't look cheap, the materials used are really good. The mechanism works perfectly and the tape will remain rigid vertically for over 2 metres. The laser appeared to be accurate too.I give it 4 stars for being a solid device with a great tape and laser. But if you want to do complex measurements then you need a lot of trial and error, because you won't have any help from the manual.

Very handy size
Really useful multifunction tool. The different laser options are surprisingly good for my decking project on dull days. The laser is bright and visible indoors during the day. The main thing I have found really helpful is it a perfect size for my toolbox - my large level is too big for most indoor jobs and my small level is not very accurate because the base is too small, this one is a perfect size. Having an integral retractable tape measure is a bonus.

A good basic digital measure but with shortcomings
On opening the package was pleased at the overall 'chucky' appearance of the device.Powering on and general usage was fairly intuitive, which was just as well because the instructions are awful. Printed in a micro-font and the translation into English was done by a someone with scant English (probably the same for the other languages included) would be worth the UK arm of the business spending an hour re-writing them.The biggest bug bear however is charging the battery, yes just plug it in and charge BUT there is no indication of charging, or charging complete. When I asked the suppliers they simply said to turn on the device to see the charge state, not very logical as it shuts down after 45s of non use.In genera it is a useful item and it's shortcomings are reflected in the price although, no excuse for the very poor manual in this age of internet and international business.
