I initially tried these on black chair legs of a different table and was disappointed that they didn't look so great. However, they fit (and match) perfectly with my other dining chairs! My chairs are a warm wood with orangish hues, and these are perfect. Also, since the back legs are square and the front legs circular, these adapt to both shapes. Just keep stretching them and they will fit snugly.

My interpretation of the size application is above; to avoid confusion I will not attempt to re-state what is in the product description, because those numbers are all over the map, confusing, and inconsistent.The minimum circumference of the leg needs to be at least 4.3-4.4 inches, and the maximum circumference is about 5.5 inches. These will work best on square or round cross-section legs, but a certain amount of elliptical or rectangular shape can be tolerated.Feature-wise, in addition to the silicone cups holding the pads on the legs (versus other methods such as a self-adhesive strip), these cups are also reversible and can be flipped inside out to change from a smooth-floor wood felt pad to a carpeted floor hard particle pad.

Finally, even my dining room chairs won't scratch up my wood floor. I have seen some cloth options, that made the chair legs look ginormous. This one is more of a tight fit, I would caution against using too much force or sharp object (or finger nail) on it too much. I do it one side at a time and slowly finetune the fit because my chair legs are not round, but have 2 square cross-sections, and 2 rectangular. The make matters worse, they are a little curvy from top-to-bottom. Nonetheless, I managed to put the set on, and now it is quiet to move the chair around, and no more scratch and dents! The only gripe I have is that the photos showed it a bit more dark-color and deep brown. In person, it it's a bit light brown, imagine dark-chocolate vs. milk-chocolate colors. So, it doesn't go as well w/ my chair's stained color, but for the sake of my flooring and functionality, it does the trick!

I needed these because we live in a condo with marble floors in the dining room and our dining chairs make a terrible sound when dragged across the floor. I had these same sort leg caps from another set, but there were only 16 pieces....not enough for our 6 chairs. I ordered these and capped the two chairs that needed them, but after about two weeks of seeing how well they worked, I replaced the caps on the other four chairs with these too.Our old leg caps had a thick felt bottom and the silicone cups seemed to grab the chair legs as well as these, but the old caps also slid off the chair legs occasionally; these have never had that problem. The felt is much thinner on the bottom of these caps, but it doesn't mean they are more noisy or are damaging the floor or anything like that - these work just as well as the old caps at providing a buffer between the chairs and the floor. And because they stay put better than the old caps, I like them so much more.I highly recommend these!

Ok, that's a little over dramatic but that's how much I wished I had known about them sooner!When we first moved into our current house we knew at some point we needed to redo the hardwood flooring, however with a 1 year old at the time and now our youngest is still only 4 we figured we will hold off until the kids are a bit older, say 10. In the mean time I still wanted to protect the floor from the wooden chair legs.Solutions I've tried include various stick-on felt pads which you can guess don't hold up well to regular use, and even cute slip on socks that stretch and eventually become too loose and slip off.The difference with these leg cups: they stretch to fit thicker legs but even on thinner legs they really stay on because their shape mostly matches that of the leg, and the silicon padding on the bottom easily gliders on the floor without much friction which means they won't drag on the floor so won't stress the cups causing them to deform and slip off. And the silicon really does glide, it's a noticeable difference compared to the felt pads.I only wished I had found these sooner.
