I get great signals at home and I ordered this booster because we often visit places in upstate NY and in VT where service is spotty or non-existent. I used it in a recent visit to Lake George, NY. The WIFI at my friend's was great when I needed a connection for content but my 5G T-mobile service was in and out and I never got full bars.My bedroom was upstairs in the one corner of the house where I had no call reception. So, I hooked up the outside antenna out on the deck at the other end of the house which faces the cell tower at the famous Sagamore Hotel. This is the only tower at this portion of the lake, so I didn't have to search for one. I hid the "rooftop" antenna and its wires, blending it in with the flowers on the deck, so as not to be intrusive or interfere with the gorgeous view. I then ran the wiring around the side and through the door to connect it to the indoor antenna. (see photos)Not only did it hook me up with T-Mobile, but I was also auto-connected, roaming on AT&T 4G, depending on where I was in the house. I didn't incur any additional charges, not sure if it's because I have an unlimited plan anyway. But what a blessing because I had several business calls to contend with at length during my stay there.I kept the box it arrived in (NOT the shipping packaging) because it conveniently houses everything and fit in my suitcase. And, since they're responsible people who take care of anything they borrow, I also lent this unit to friends to use with their motorhome and they were completely happy as well. So, even though it's not described as such, this booster is great for travel.

I had high hopes fort this signal booster, but have been let down. I live in an area with spotty cell reception, so this would have been a huge help for me. Installation was fairly easy.(If you don't mind routing a cable into your home from outside, and mounting the outdoor antenna.) All of that was a little time consuming, but that is ok. What I am not pleased with is that, even with the outdoor antenna pointing perfectly towards the nearest antenna, I still get ok signal. Keep in mind the antenna nearest me is actually visible from my home. I know, it doesn't make much sense why my signal at home is so shotty. Anyway, while in my home, the service is great when I am within 20-30 feet from the box. Past that, it goes back to a crappy signal. Not worth the money in my opinion, unless you spend a lot of time in a specific area of your home.

I live in a town with almost no service. I did not read in the description that you need some signal for this to work effectively. I pointed the antenna in the directions of where the closest tower was and unfortunately it didn't pull enough for me to access any service. Please be mindful that this will not work unless you have at least 2 bars of service.

We've been looking for something to increase the signal inside the shop. It's a block building with a metal roof and we can't get a call or text if we're inside. Which means if we're working on a project and there's an emergency - you don't find out about until you step outside. We looked at several options and ended up with this one. It seems easy to install. It doesn't have to be X feet above the ground, just at the highest point you can get it. Even if it only allows us to get texts, this will be an improvement. We have higher hopes for it. It'll be a bit before we can get it installed, but the box had everything as detailed in the listing. Pieces seem to slide/insert/attach easily. Really looking forward to getting stronger signals inside the shop so we're not standing around in rain or out in the cold winds trying to take a call. I'll update once it's installed and we've had a chance to use it, but if it works even a tenth better - I'm a huge fan!

Ordered this to be able to get better reception and it made minimal difference. We moved this thing all over only for the same occasional single bar to pop up. Placed in the location we have a bar consistently, no boost. Faced toward tower, no boost. Gave up and just fixed it on the roof, still the same service level. I made it though a massive windstorm though, so pretty durable.

This worked extremely well, and I now have much better signal strength throughout my house and out into the yard. It was fairly simple to locate to a position to catch our nearest tower. This is a great addition if you suffer from inconsistent or weak cell service.

I've been testing several boosters looking for one that stands above the rest. So far they have all been about the same. This works great! I get 1-2 bars in my house without a booster, 4-5 with this booster!

Well made good quality booster that does its job well. Really helps when there weak signal and makes an amazing difference. Installation is no big deal. get the antenna in a good position and you're good to go. Well worth it.A good deal. :)
