Salsbury Industries 4610BGE, Beige Traditional Mailbox, Standard, Horizontal Style

We love our mailbox! This is a heavy duty mailbox, the steel is thick and the powder coating is really nice. The best part is that the design is very simple, it can lend itself many home styles. Inside the box there is plenty of room for mail and small packages. We mounted our mailbox on a stucco wall, i bought stucco screw pack from OSH and used two screws and a few fat dollups of silicone to secure it. It ifunctioning great and mail is coming and going as usual.

I wish this mailbox were slightly more cream and less beige, but the color name is correct and the product is exactly as described.This mailbox is sturdily made. The lid is heavy and it is harder to reach in with one hand than it used to be with my cheap (orange & black mass-market retailer) mailbox. This box is also much deeper than the wide/shallow box we had before. This helps keep the mail dry, and it is also no longer obvious from the street whether our mail is in the box or not. Even magazines and padded envelopes can fit inside with the lid completely closed.This mailbox is magnetic. I used magnetic house numbers (like these Grasslands Road Morning Song Ceramic Magnetic House Tile "3") to personalize this box for my house.It was pretty easy for me to add the magazine/newspaper hooks to the box myself before my husband came home and hung up the mailbox outside. One could attach the screws in either of two directions, and there were no instructions, but it really seemed to work out fine either way. One could also forego the hooks since magazines fit inside. I sometimes hang my kids' muddy coats from the newspaper hooks if they are too gross to bring inside right away!This is a nicely made box. If the colors available work for you, go for it. You will find this vastly superior to anything available in local mass merchandizers.

The package felt heavier than expected, but arrived on time with the mailbox in pristine condition. It was easy to install on our shingle siding. Our mailman said that it does not have the same problems that a lot of our neighbors' boxes have and complimented it's clean look.My only complaint is that the lower set of holes for mounting are difficult to access and it would be nice if there was not such prominent branding on the inside as to be consistent with the minimalist design. The matte finish is a nice touch and it seems sturdy. This product is definitely better than anything you will find in big box stores.

I bought this after looking at several minimalist mailboxes on Etsy and chose it because it was at least half the the cost and appeared to be very nice. When it arrived I was surprised by how nice it actually is: rich, black matte finish with a sturdy feel. I have not attached it to the house yet, the two lower screw holes look a little challenging but it seems others managed.This did come with newspaper holder but not any hardware.Update: I felt attaching it was a bit harder than it should have been (the bottom two holes I found unreachable with a regular drill). Otherwise, for this and not coming with hardware, I would have given 5 stars.

The good - I like the look and styling of the mailbox. The bad - I do not recommend if exposed to rain, your mail will always be soaked. This replaced a $15 mailbox that never let rain in. This $50 mailbox leaks with a poor design of the hinge not going to the ends of the box. Every rain mail is soaked. Manufacturer probable saved a couple penny's using a shorter hinge. Also no mounting hardware I was very surprised by that for the price. If I didn't throw out the shipping box I would've returned. Not happy at all.

It’s a very nice high quality mailbox. This isn’t that cheap bendy aluminum from the hardware store. This is very sturdy and will last a very long time. The mail box is a little hard to install due to the lower holes being so far down. It would be nice if it had a mounting bracket to make the installation easier. The mailbox is also quite large. I didn’t measure my old mailbox but this is about the size of 2 regular rectangle style mailboxes. You could easily stand a magazine up inside the mailbox. My mail lady even commented on how nice the box is.

We love this mailbox! It looks like one of those expensive architectural ones that cost $300. It’s quite sturdy too. We love the modern feel and that it can hold larger items like magazines and small USPS packages and the lid stays closed. Highly recommend!

I love this very good quality mailbox! Simple yet very nice looking. I chose to use the adhesive house numbers on the front and really like how it turned out!I like that when you close the lid it doesn't make a loud slam noise.Very good purchase, well worth the money.
