Easily Processed Snippets of Information
My husband is not an avid reader but loves to learn about history. He really enjoyed how easily he could read this nonfiction book. The book is broken up into snippets of information for easy reading. It is also full of information!

A lot of interetsing facts on Mesoamerica in one place
It's nice to see a combination of interesting facts, historical data on civilizations such as Aztec, Maya, and Olmec all in one place. I am more of a visual learner, so for me, I would prefer having images related to each chapter, for example maps, photos of pyramids, etc.

a waste of money
This book is a trite review of tourist data, much of which is inaccurate.

Adventure and Informational
Coming from South America, I always wanted to know more about the native culture there. The pyramids and calendars within their cultures always seemed to fascinate me. The Secrete of Mesoamerica is a great book that depicts informational history on the various native groups that are across Southern America.

Informative. I enjoyed reading it
I read a lot of history books, and wasn't familiar with this era, so it was interesting. I would have liked more illustrations though, which would have brought the book to life a bit more.

Concise but broadranging
This is a good compendium of facts about Mesoamerican societies. It tackles a broad range of topics, and whilst it does not do deeply into each of those, it's still a handy reference to have to launch into a more in depth study of any specific topic. Would have been good to have some maps, illustrations to accompany the book though.
