Too big!
The problem with these chargers is that they are just too big. No matter which Uniross you buy the actual body of the charger makes it impossible to plug in to either an adapter from the top or a socket bank, without leaving two sockets empty either side. Unnecessarily bulky. I don't like uniross chargers and I shall not buy them again!

Very pleased with this charger.
Excellent value. Very quick once batteries have been charged once.

Great little charger
Having just got my first digital camera, could not believe it's thirst for batteries! Bought this charger as it seemed good value for money. It hasn't got the most powerful of batteries (1300 mAh) but they are more than adequate and there are 4 of them so I constantly have fresh batteries at hand (camera only uses 2). There is an auto switch-off so you can't overcharge the batteries. All in all, very pleased with my purchase.

After using the Uniross batteries I put them on the charger. They were charging for approximately eight hours. I then unplugged the charger as it was late and didn't want to leave it on overnight. Plugged it in again next morning and seven hours later the batteries are not yet fully charged. Very disappointing. I thought too that the batteries would last in my camera for a longer period than they actually did.

All chargers are not created equal... yes sure, this one charges batteries but the ones supplied with it are very low power. If you subsequently buy higher power batteries and want it to charge them then expect them not to be charged to full capacity as it's based on a timer rather than a microprocessor or electronic charge control system.Personal opinion, better going for a non-timer based charger with charge control... price-wise they're much the same and well worth it for the future flexibility...

Fantastic, fast and safe.
I used to go through ordinary batteries at an alarming rate. I have an mp3 player that takes AA batteries and a digital camera, plus the old standby personal stereo and personal cd player. That adds up to a whole lot of money on batteries over a year. This Uniross RC101161 charger comes with 4 NI-MH AA batteries which seem to last for ages from a full charge. I bought some other rechargeable batteries separately and the charger works just fine with them too.I often forget that I have left batteries on to charge, but that is no problem with this charger as it switches itself off which saves overcharged or melted batteries (I am sure glad of that!)I can justly say that this charger with the supplied batteries is a great product and it makes me much happier not having to spend a small fortune on ordinary batteries any more!
