Delicious German Hela Curry Gewurz Delicate Ketchup - Mild (800 ml) | perfect with meat, sausages, fish, fries, pasta and rice

Great product, excellent with Italian sausage and some other items. Very different, light curry flavor. Only issue was that the large bottle I just received (February 2025) has a relatively short expiration date - September 2025. SIX MONTHS.I have bought this product in the past and have used it up to 6 months AFTERr the expiration date, when it is under refrigeration, but I wish the product was a little "fresher".

Been enjoying this brand of curry ketchup for over three decades.

DELICIOUS

I had tried this in Germany a few years back and absolutely loved it! It tastes great, isn’t spicy at all (not hot like most things labeled Spicy in the USA) It’s essentially ketchup but with more flavor than American brands. It isn’t the Indian curry we think of when we hear curry, it’s a blend of spices that add to the flavor. Great value as it’s a large size!

I first tried this curry ketchup years ago in Germany. When friends would visit I always requested a bottle. I’m so happy I can get it now without a plane ticket. Although, the price is still too expensive.

Having spent many years of my childhood living in Germany, I have had my fair share of currywurst. I have been to a few local German festivals recently and the currywurst I have been served up always seem to be missing something. It was just recently I realized how important the "sauce" is in creating the currywurst experience. I ran across the Hela Curry Gewurz quite by accident while surfing around Amazon and boy oh boy I am glad I did. THIS is what I remember. THIS is what makes currywurst a CURRYWURST (at least in this one person's humble opinion). So if you are like me and have some fond memories of being a military brat and noshing on currywurst in Nurenburg, Weisbaden, Frankfurt, Munich, Ansbach...name a few others...TRY this--you won't be sorry.

While in Curacao this year, one of the beach side food trucks served us a sauce that was AMAZING! We asked how they made it, this was the main ingredient. This and mayonnaise mixed together is absolutely delicious for a fry or tot dipping sauce! It’s become one of our favorite foods and you get a big bottle for this price!
