I bought 2 of these mounts based on the amazing reviews. I got it all set up, very easy to install! Look GREAT! Then I went to put my phone on the magnet and I could not find the "sweet spot" you guys know what I mean, that perfect approach and the phone just GRABS and you just know it is not going to move.;I placed it on the mount maybe 5-6 times before I got a very limp connection... I was worried right off the bat. But I had to give it a chance. So I put it on there in the best spot I could find and start towards work.I made it to the entrance to the freeway and it had not fell! I laughed at myself because I had been worried. Silly me. Then a bump, not a little one but not a maneater either. And down goes the phone. So I get to a stop light a little while later and reach down... Yeah the screen is not supposed to feel like that... or make that sound... It had landed just perfectly on a very small pebble, pea rock, whatever you wanna call it. Not a good day.TL:DR = The magnet sucks on some. Be careful, my screen broke when the magnet couldn't hang on.

Great design and magnet works well. Wasn't clear to me how it mounted, but it uses a sticky base and unit rotates on the base. You can lock it with a lever but it foes not remove from the base.

Had this for many months now and can say it is secure and hasn't fallen off yet. It does seem a bit loose but it has been many months at this point and has gone through hot summer and 2 cold winters. But it is still sticking for now, the magnet is STRONG where I have always said I have to use both hands to take the phone off because otherwise I feel like it might pull the mount right off.I love this mount it is the BEST solution to a car phone mount because you can place your phone in a way that it doesn't get beat up and overheat from the sun, without covering up a vent, and without having one of those claw mounts that press your volume or power buttons to grip your phone.I would buy this again for sure. Its sleek and well designed and has proven reliable and secure.
