Having bought this camera I was pleasantly surprised with the very good video resolution. As yet I have only tried it at 1080p 30fps but the results are very good. I found the microphone a bit too sensitive to very loud sounds when out of the waterproof case, but the audio is clear and responsive to normal level sounds. The video file format is MP4 and records in 30 minute segments. The camera can be used in driving mode but I haven't tried this yet. Two batteries are included but they must be charged in the camera either with the supplied charger or plugged into a usb outlet. The camera can record while plugged into a USB charger. You must provide your own micro sd card, be sure to use one of high quality (class 10). Recorded footage and photos can be viewed on the camera or transferred to your PC with the supplied usb cable, or you can use a micro sd card adapter not included. Be sure to set up the camera to your personal requirements with the easy to use menu. The included remote control works wel,l but remember you have to long press to start video recording. When the wifi is turned on the the camera starts an access point to which you can connect your phone or tablet, but you must download an app to allow you to view and control recording from your device. I bought this camera mainly because of the reviews and the fact that my HP F800 died after 16 months and my foscam C1's went into meltdown after their latest update. I've got to say so far so good. One readily replaced my C1 and is quietly chugging along recording every movement outside the front of the house. I had problems with the one I put in the car the same as I had with the f800. That was that the car supplies a continuous voltage to the USB port/cigarette lighter even when switched off meaning that when when the car was switched on the dashcam didn't reactivate. I have with the buiejdog found an elegant solution. I have a large capacity Anker battery pack and I have found that if you remove the in-built battery of the camera and connect the Anker before you pull off the camera will quite happily record until you get home and unplug it again!Brilliant in daylight but not that clever at night. Its still a better deal than the HP I had. Great value for money!!!

I had high expectations after reading all the 5* reviews on Amazon but was less than impressed with mine after it arrived. Connectivity to the camera leaves a lot to be desired.Their App for this device “xdv” would not open on my Android and kept stopping.I managed to load the App on my Ipad but for me that took a lot of the functionality away from using the device, I wanted control via my smartphone.Playback with 4k via my ipad kept freezing so had to resort to 1080p, another function taken away.Connecting to my Windows 10 laptop via the USB was also a problem. Failed to access images and I had to remove the sd card and use a micro sd adapter. Just too many problems.Quality of images were Ok but nothing special. I will be returning mine and looking elsewhere. Disappointed.

if you want to fit this to the side of a crash helmet you can`t see if you are recording as there are is a very small blue flashing light on the back , and I found the battery`s don`t last long , the ones with my one last about 10 minutes if that , lucky I have better one`s from my old cam , this mic is no good when its in the water proof holder , the video is ok , you can`t turn the cam off from the remote which is a pain , and the instruction book is very hard to see the print.

if trying to record over 1080p the sound will not work and the video will stutter at 1080p the sound and video do not sync so its only good for using at 720p but without sound only

It's a joke.This camera is 1.3Mpx16M is an enlarged photo about the quality 1.3MPFraud!!!16MP is not 16M.16M is just the size of the photo.Video the same. This is not full HD 1080It's a VGA camera.The producer should get a ban.For misleading0 star rating

There are many attachments included with this camera allowing you to create basic setups without purchasing further mounts. The most useful one I have found is the waterproof case which I plan to use when I am next out snorkelling. It also comes with a handy carry case giving you a nice neat setup.
