There are two methods to anchor the articulated magnifying glass. One is with a metal base plate, which is heavy and strudy enough to do the job of anchoring if it were set on a table for example, the other option is a clamp type which might be used on the edge of a desk. the light brightness and color are easily adjusted. Great for tedious hands free tasks.

The utility of this tool is fantastic, my only complaint is that the Design of it makes it difficult to use on a third axis. If mounted sideways the only way to gain a Y-axis is to loosen the screw. which causes it to drop. Gravity works against you.

I have used the lamp off and on for about 3 week. It has worked great. It was a little difficult to attach the magnifying lens to the arm, but once I figured out a assembly trick it mounted easily. I plugged it into a 2 amp power supply and it drew more than two amps. Plugged it into a three amp supply and it drew more than 3 amps. The magnification is great and the light is bright. I put it on my work bench and it has helped me work on small mechanical and electronic devices. I recommend the lamp.

I am so happy with this purchase. The magnifying light is wonderful. The field of vision is so much larger than working with led magnifying glasses. I can work down at the table level or work close up and the view is perfectly clear! The 3 different light filters are a nice addition as well as the light brightness adjustment. I have it mounted between my jewelry workstation and my sewing machine and it is so easy to swing it around for perfect vision to work at either station. Very easy to set up.

I saw a light like this I loved in Office max, and due to the pandemic went to amazon to find a model like it to use for building models/legos under my dim office lighting. The packaging is plain, and came in a few pieces with no instructions, I figured it out pretty easily, however instructions would have been nice. The motion only really goes up or down, and a little side to side, depending on where it's mounted. I don't know if my unit is broken, but the dim/brighter functions don't work, at all, on any of the three motions, so it's I think stuck at medium brightness. Due to the pandemic I'm not going to return it and risk putting anyone at risk, trying to flatten that curve, but you may want to look elsewhere if you need one that gets bright. Context as well for my eyes, I have 20/15 vision, but have a stigmatism effected in low light. The main reason I need this is my office has a dim light. It's bright enough to help a little, but not fully meeting my needs sadly.

Originally purchased to help me with crafting (Diamond painting) as the boxes were too hard to see even with my glasses on. Not only did this help with that but now i am using to read small print directions (like the 3-4 point fonts on the box) but also as a bedside light when using my computer. I attached it to my lap desk and now i can see my computer, adjust the light intensity or color to not disturb my husband.
