Q: Is it big enough to start/run a 1/2 hp sump pump. the specs say that it's amperage is 6.9a?

I have a 3 year old one of these, and have very successfully used it to alternately power (a full size fridge, TV, LED lights), and a 1/2 hp sump pump. There have been several power outages in the past few years that have lasted a week or more. Typically I'd get an 8 hr. run per 1 gallon tank full. I'm very pleased with it, and intend to purchase a second one now that the price has gone down. Three years ago I paid twice as much for the same model.

Q: Why does amazon call this sc2000iv isn't this sc2000i?

While I cannot answer your question empirically, I have an idea based on my evaluation of the SUA2000i v the SUA2000iV. When I compare the owner's manual for the 'iV,' it does not include the same accessories as the 'i;' no battery charging or parallel cables. I did not receive cables although these reviews infer that I should have. I looked on their website and the 'i' includes cables (per their literature and diagrams) while the iV does not include them and that is reinforced by the list of included items. All of this is a guess, but I have been looking into this same question to determine why I did not get cables.. :) Good ,luck with the full answer!

Q: Can this yamaha generator 2400 can be recharged by solar?
