I wasn't sure what to expect with this product. There were only a few reviews that gave mixed insight which kind of nulled each other out.Upside, this device works as advertised. I have an odd mix of off brand devices, so I was never sure which brand to select for the IR or RF controls. The good news is that there are DIY modes that basically either let you enter the brand code OR you can simply program the box itself by using the original remote to record they buttons you need. I did this for a number of devices, and it worked more or less seamlessly. In addition, I wasn't happy about installing yet another app on my phone since I already had a different home automation app installed. It turns out that many of the apps are all branded versions of the same app core application and I was able to use the one I already am accustomed to with this new box. The menus and graphics and procedure were all the same. So, before you install a new app, check to make sure the one you already have doesn't support this box.Downside: Not too many. One quirk I noticed was that while programming volume up/down in DIY mode, if you hold down the button on the original too long, it will change the volume by many increments instead of just one. Other than this, I didn't have any issues.Utilization thoughts... In addition to using this to add additional IR capabilities to your phone, this makes a great tool to control devices away from home. For example, on vacation and you want to raise/lower the shades of turn the TV on and change the channel? No problem. You can do this anywhere in the world to make it look like someone is at home.  Summary, I'm getting ready to place an order for a second unit for another room. I definitely recommend this product.

Uses the SmartLife app which is great because i already have several other lights on that app. Would be nice if you could change the names of the RF devices you add. I had to change the name in the alexa app so that works but it might get confusing later since I called it blinds in alexa but its call shutters in smartlife

This product was able to control my 25 year old pioneer surround system I keep in the closet and worked much better than the IR repeater pyramids I had been using plus now I can control this with my voice.Setup had some challenges, I was able to add the device itself with no issues on my Android phone and the device connected just fine on my network that has both 2.4 and 5 on the SSID and is a guest network so that part is great.However when I went to add a new IR device on my S23 Ultra when I would click the button it would just load a white page and nothing else. I tried the app on an older android phone and it did the same thing. I then tried on my ipad mini and it worked perfectly, zero issues adding my pioneer system. Not sure if it's the Smart Life app that is having the issue or the way this company coded the interface in regards to Android. Smart life is a platform and it's on the manufacturers to code the interface so it seems they have some issues with Android.Things I did not like1.) No AC Adapter in the box, I know this has become standard since greedy Apple removed the charger from the box in the name ofore profits but it's annoying as I'm tired of buying AC adapters when they should be in the box.2.) This uses Micro-USB instead of USB-C which is annoying as it's a crappy port and most stuff uses USB-C now even the cheaper Chinese products like this is.Weird stuff I noticed on the listing itself1.) The first photo shows an interface with temperature and humidity but this product has no such feature.2.) The interface in the photos isn't what the actual interface looks like, it's sort of close but why they wouldn't use an actual image of the interface is odd.Final thing if you use another voice assistant powered by the makers of Android you do get more options in the way of voice line the ability to change the volume and mute. Alexa is very limitedOverall it's a solid product and for the price it's good, if they would have included an AC adapter it would have been a great product. Setup on Android is a bit wonky but I will say once you add an IR device via an Apple product the interface then works right on your android product.

El dispositivo no tiene el alcance descrito. Se probo en una habitación cerrada y se comprobro que el dispotivo a manejar no tiene que estar a mas de 2 mts de distancia y apuntando directamente. No lo recomiendo.

Needed this to control my motorized Projection screen.. worked flawlessly.Have it integrated with Google, now I can raise/lower the screen with my voice.

The set is not user friendly and the coverage distance is very poor.

I works fine for some of my fans but not for others. My MinkaAire is on a different frequency 303 mhz.I have two of those.
