Works after years.
It needs to be noted that it only works ONE way.

Works perfect on my workstation
Works perfect on my workstation. For the past 10-15 years I've been doing customer repairs and custom build computers, I've never been able to find a good working DVI 24+1 pin connector and this is it.The cheap made white connectors never did right, I had one that I was using for the longest that was a black 24+1 that came with an old nvidia graphics card that I've been using for a few years and about 3-6 months ago it went out on me.. Since then I've been buying and returning several connectors off Amazon and this is by far the best one to have and works every time. Thanks again for having this in stock and working as it should.NOTE: I didn't receive this for free or through a promotion. I'm just giving a good honest review.

Works well, but no sleep signal
Picture quality is great, works flawlessly on my system (Ubuntu 18.04 on a Gigabyte GA-AB350M-DS3H mobo), but it does not send the sleep signal properly to put the monitor in sleep mode. That's not a big deal, but keep it in mind. The connector is a little bulkier than it needs to be, so depending on your situation, you may have to get slimmer adapters for whatever is next to it. I had to use a very slim HDMI->VGA adapter to hook up both monitors.

Quick and Easy Solution
"Inherited" a MAC OS X rack mount server in a bulk purchase of gear, and this was a cheap, easy, and excellent "fix" to being able to use one of my standard VGA monitors with the rig to get it cleaned up and running (for my purposes) again.Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

It works, sort of... Your milage may vary with this one. (UPDATED)
Wondering if I got a defective unit? It works when first connected, but after you turn off your PC, or if you walk away and the PC puts the monitor to "sleep" it's game over and won't work again without going through a ridiculous ritual. For starters, I have to turn off the monitor with the power switch as the monitor never goes to sleep when the PC tells it to, or when the PC is off. The monitor stays on displaying the "test pattern". If the PC is on but has told the monitor to go to sleep, you're done. Normally you would wiggle the mouse to bring the display back up, but not with this adapter, the display never comes back. Rebooting the PC doesn't help, hard powering PC off and on doesn't help, only disconnecting each end of the adapter and reconnecting it will bring the display back up.The only way to get the display to come back up is to disconnect the adapter from the PC, then the monitor from the adapter. Next, plug the adapter back into the PC, then plug the monitor cable back into the adapter. This all needs to be done with the PC turned on, which makes me nervous as you are never supposed to connect or disconnect DVI cables from the video card when it's powered up. You're taking a risk at causing damage to the video card and/or PC. This procedure works every time to restore the display output, but is just ridiculous to have to do every time the monitor goes to "sleep" or the PC is turned off and on.UPDATE (8-9-18): I contacted the seller, and they furnished me a discount code to purchase another adapter, it covered all the cost except for a penny. I paid my penny for the new adapter and waited for it to arrive. I tried out the new adapter, and found that it works better than the original, but still not perfectly. At least now I don't have to go through the ritual of disconnecting and reconnecting the cables every time the monitor is told to go to sleep, or I turn off the PC. That part is solved, however, the monitor still does not go to sleep as it should. I still need turn off the monitor once I shut down the PC, or if I will be walking away from the PC for an extended time. I'm just going to stick with what I have for now until I can replace the monitor with one that has the proper DVI port on it. Bumping my rating up by 1 star for good customer service, and a product the ALMOST works correctly.

Perfect for Extending Dual Monitor When Your Available Port is DVI-D
I wanted to make my home office match my work office, so I needed dual monitors. I needed to extend my monitor not duplicate. My pc had only one VGA monitor port, but I noticed an unusual port with 24 “holes” and a dash shaped “hole.” I discovered it’s called a DVI-D port. My second monitor only had a male VGA cable. After first ordering the WRONG converter (DVI not DVI-D) and spending almost the same amount to return it, I purchased this converter, hooked it up and it works perfectly!

Works for dual monitor setup.
I have an old monitor, HP L1710, from when a library got rid of old computers. I use this adapter for it, with a GTX 1060 6GB graphics card, in a two-monitor setup. This adapter works well, and I don't have any issues with it. Bought in August 2018, still works well as of this review in May 2019. Price was pretty good too at under $10. I would recommend it.
