Essential
Outstanding piece of kit. Makes travel photography a doddle. Used travelling through Morocco and Italy. Used mostly with Fujifilm 50-140mm which is a large lens. It felt comfortable even with that lens mounted (worn on backpack strap above left pectoral). I only use it with a backpack but would consider mounting on belt too. Expensive but reliable and useful. Definitely recommend.

One of the best camera accessories I've ever bought!
One of the best camera accessories I've bought!I bought this clip in preparation for a weekend away where I would be taking lots of photo's. The clip was easy to fit and didn't interfere with the comfort of the bag. Clipping the camera in and out was fast, simple and most importantly, secure!I carried a Sony A7III with a 70-350MM lens for 2 days with any problems. There are cheaper clips available, but this is very well made and is a reliable brand so I do believe the additional cost is justified.

An absolute gem
I've always been an avid fan of Peak Design ever since their first kickstarter. This is a company that produces quality bags and accessories, I've used their messenger bags, totes, slings, backpacks and straps. Always wanted the capture clip, but didn't think I had a need for it, until I started missing shots by fumbling with my bag getting the camera out. This is a much easier method to have the camera ready.Knocked one star off for price, I still think this is overpriced, it's a solid, well made item, but I think it would be more well received at a price point around £40-50. One other issue is that, i think they should have made another quick release button on the left side, as it has proved to be a small issue grabbing the camera with the right hand and using the left hand to push the right sided quick release button. It feels a little awkward in use.As for the what the product is designed for - faultless. A real gem of a product for attaching your camera to your backpack strap.

Great clip, makes the camera always on hand…
Bought this clip to help encourage me to use my DSLR camera more often.I have had a DSLR camera for years and have always been put off using it with my strap whilst out walking or climbing as it knocks around and I find myself cradling the camera in my hands, making the strap redundant.I saw someone wearing their camera on a backpack strap and asked them about it, they showed me theirs which was a first generation clip and talked me through the pros and the cons.I couldn’t find one in the local camera specialists as they were always sold out and found the case to be the same on Amazon for quite some time.I was eventually able to get hold of one through Amazon when they came back into stock and took it away with me to the Lake District twice in the last few months.I’m really pleased with the clip, it is very sturdy and made of a strong metal construction. I have managed to keep my camera on hand whilst climbing and walking and taken some great pictures which I might have otherwise missed had I had to get my camera out of my rucksack. The only real drawback is that with the mount fitted you can’t use a tripod, however I never take a tripod away with me so this is not a problem.I do still use my strap for extra peace of mind alongside the clip, purely from my own paranoia about dropping the camera and causing damage. The more I have used the camera on the mount and clip it has actually increased my confidence in it.I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend this option to anyone thinking of buying one.

Became somewhat an essential
this thing is great. I love that i can attach my camera to my backpack strap while hiking and having it ready to shoot the next picture within seconds. you can attach/detach the camera quicky and it holds it very securely. The idea, design and execution are brilliant. Love it and will bring with me whenever I plan to take photographs. It is on the expensive side - but probably worth the money....

Light, sleek and works
This will keep the heaviest, most expensive camera an lens safety locked on your belt. The included mounting plate is compliant with the Swiss Arca tripod system which means there’s no need to remove it.The plate is, however, incompatible with the earlier camera clip ( but not vice-versa).Easy to attach to a suitable belt, although there are accessories for very wide belts - check first.Simple to use and a lot quicker than opening a camera bag.Very expensive for what you get but the quality is top notch.I have a camera clip adapter that I can move to different belts to give added versatility to an already great product.Recommend to everyone who want to spend time photographing rather than rummaging in a bag.

Great for providing quick access
I use my Peak Design - Capture clip to hold my camera when I go for hikes. I dislike camera straps around the neck and continually getting the camera out of a backpack is a pain. I have tried the clip on both the shoulder strap and belt and think that the belt is the most comfortable. (I have walked distances of 15 miles and more and not had an issue).I use it to hold a Canon EOS R and 24-240mm lens. The camera just hangs there, does not interfere with walking and is instantly available when I want to take a photo. Also means I have both hands free while hiking.I have replaced the ball head on my tripod, and the quick release my monopod, for ones that that accept the Arca plate. This means the plate does not need to be removed to put the camera on a tripod.I have tried the clip with multiple straps and have not had an issue of getting it to fit.Only downside is the cost, but it works well and seems to be well made.
