Ingenious Strategy Board Game - Travel Version

Its a very nice game to have in your backpack whenever you are traveling. The only issue is that it is only for 2 people in comparison to the full game which will allow more people top join the fun.Good: - game is much deeper than expected - there are multiple tactics you can employ - very portable - very pretty - very addictiveBad: - the play field doesn't fit in the bag that comes in the box - the little pins counting the numbers are very small and very easy to loose

Amazing addictive game! The more you play the more tactical and sneaky your moves get! I got this game to play on Christmas day and people couldn't wait to have their go. I got the travel edition because my friend had it and it looks better/smarter than the four-player version. I'm now tempted to get the four player version so more people can play but I think my tactics, and the game itself, are better suited to being one-on-one.The only thing that annoys me is the coloured pegs you use to keep score don't fit in the board very well so I think it wont be long before was lose some (and they don't give you any spares). Its a little pricey for such a small simple game but worth every penny!

Pieces too small

Firstly, Ingenious is a great game. My son has ADHD & has never got on well with board games, but he loves this game & actually asks to play it.My gripe is that both the image on Amazon & the image on the box lid, are of a much sturdier looking game, made of thicker plastic, with bigger pegs, stronger peg holes, painted numbers against the peg holes & embossed shapes on the playing tiles. None of these features are present on the game inside the box, so I do feel slightly cheated.Update 18/03/10 - Box cover / Amazon image now changed so that they no longer show an image of the actual game. However, I suspect that you will still find the more flimsy variant of the game within the box.

Great game - very easy to learn, but someone with a few games experience will smile knowlingly as newbies climb that learning curve.

This is a great game for all ages, as it's simple to learn, and only uses colours and shapes. There is luck as well as strategy, so it's different every time. I really like this game.

Great fun this game! Definitely buy if your having people round!

We are always looking for new games to play. This one looks complicated to learn but it really isn't. Its a game they keep returning to. It's one I would happily recommend and re-buy if they misplace the pieces.
