I purchased a room cleaner used, so I needed to replace the filter right away. The filter came within a couple days, was exactly what it was advertised to be, the air cleaner perfectly and it’s doing a great job.

Just got it delivered and put it in. Maybe 1 mm larger than the old one, close to the exact same size. It is a tight fit, but seems to be perfect in our old Kenmore 85254. As you can tell from the photos, the old one is totally black as we’ve had it for 10 or 15 years now. Very happy with the purchase. The “carbon” filters seem to fit perfectly as well. Glad I have three of them, I’ve been cleaning and vacuuming the old ones for quite some time now.

This filter seems to make the fan work too hard. The stock Kenmore filter that came with my unit gave a scent of fresh air (as if their air was crisp and clean). This one not so much. This just seems like it can’t pass much air and overheats the fan
