It will start as soon as you place it into water
This is my second one I have purchased. The first one worked two years. It was taken out of the birdbath and my dog took off with it. Needless to say I had to purchase a second one.It is very bright and always nice to see it at night. Colors are bright and vibrant. Highly recommend!

Great Mini Light Show
I was not expecting the great little mini light show at night. The different patterns and colors very impressive.

Does not work more than a few days
Worked the first day after set up. Stopped working on day 3. Checked pump and sponge as other reviews said to do. Could not find any obstructions, but started working again after putting it back to together. Completely stopped working on day 3. Total trash, do not buy. I bought a couple of different fountains other to try and they all worked great.

Product does work. But must be in a deep container pretty wide.will not work in a birdbath.if you put on a fountain attachment. Or else it will spray all of the water out fast.

Nice little trinket to put in a bird bath. Would recommend. Needs to be in sunlight to work

Great light show
The media could not be loaded. The light show is actually better than what is shown on the video. A lot more colour combinations are used. This solar fountain works during daylight hours and the battery holds a good charge for a long light show after dark. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Lights look nice but fountain loses water
The lighting effect at night is very attractive but the birdbath loses it's water with 7 of the 8 nozzles - the only one that keeps the water shoots sideways instead of up in the air. The slightest breeze causes the vertical stream to blow out of our birdbath which is about 15 inches in diameter. With a larger birdbath this might not happen.
