Great product & earth conscious
First time user. Bought for traveling. It was weird at first, especially with long hair, but it lathered right up. I really really like the way my hair felt after using these. My hair was clean, soft, shiny and smelled fresh, not scented. Would highly recommend. However, they need to make a travel soap dish!

Amazing clean and shiny hair
I've been using Ethique shampoo (either the pinkalicious, clarifying, or volume) bars for a few years now, and I will never go back to regular shampoo. I was really nervous when i first switched (I switched to try and reduce my plastic waste etc.) because I was worried bar shampoo wouldn't clean as effectively and would leave a residue. I have very fine, thin, oily, straight hair. This shampoo gives me the best lather, even better than conventional clarifying shampoos, even though it has much healthier ingredients. My hair gets perfectly clean without stripping it. I wash my hair every other day and use much more product than is technically needed (I just love a ridiculous amount of lather, but it will clean just fine with much less), and it lasts me about 2 months. I love that they are cruelty-free (a non-negotionable) and caring for the environment!

Love
The Ethique Shampoo Bar is a great eco-friendly swap that lathers well and leaves my hair clean and soft. It’s long-lasting, smells nice, and I love that it cuts down on plastic. A solid choice if you’re going low-waste!

Good shampoo with a learning curve
TL;DR: This shampoo works really well, even as someone with thick hair. Smell was a little weird and it doesn't last as long as the company claims, but once you get the hang of it, it's great.Full Review:I decided that I would try to cut some of the disposable plastics out of my life once my city limited what you could recycle, and one of the changes I'd heard about people making was bar shampoo. I decided to try it out, and based on the reviews on here, I decided to try the Frizz Wrangler shampoo, as I have very dry, frizzy, curly hair (Somewhere from 2A-2C, I'm not good at figuring out which one exactly). It has been color treated with a semi-permanent purple color at the ends at the moment, and because of that, I usually only wash/condition twice a week. As far as my impressions of this shampoo:The good:- It cleans my hair. Plain and simple, it does its job as shampoo.- It lathers well. I kind of doubted it would, but once I got the hang of it, it generates a good lather!- A little goes a long way. My sister used to complain all the time that we went through shampoo about 4x faster when I was home because I need so much to get through the built-up oil in my thick hair, but I don't feel like I need to use a ton of this to get it through my hair. I just swipe it over a few parted spots on my scalp, then rub the bar over my hands and massage it into my scalp, and it gets it very clean.- You can feel good about not using plastic bottlesThe bad:- It took me three times longer than usual to shampoo my hair the first time I used this, because I couldn't get the hang of how to get it on my hair. Now that I'm used to it, it doesn't take as much extra time, but it is still more time-consuming than regular liquid shampoos, at least in my opinion.- I've seen no added benefit of this being "Frizz Wrangler" shampoo. My hair is just as dry and frizzy while using this shampoo, but that would have just been an added benefit to me, so I wasn't too upset about it.- The smell is strange, at least to me. It does have a coconut smell, but honestly, there's something else that's just weird (I wish I had a better way to describe it, it's just not good haha). Not exactly a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind. I can't smell it on my hair at all, at least.- Storing the bar can be difficult. I personally bought one of the (admittedly expensive) containers Ethique makes for their bars, and that works well, but without that, I'd have a hard time finding a place to keep this, and I know some people don't want to spend the extra money.- There is no way this bar will be the equivalent of three bottles of shampoo. At most, it would replace two, which is still not bad, for the price, but I don't really think it's fair for them to advertise the way they do.The only other note I have is that I don't think this shampoo is particularly color-safe. I didn't see any more or less fading than I did with normal shampoos, but I definitely noticed dye washing out of my hair when I used it (semi-permanent, so no reason for concern). That's just something people should be aware of when they buy this. All in all, though, I think this is a great, environmentally-conscious shampoo that definitely does its job. There are some issues with it, but cumulatively, it wasn't enough for me to take off more than a star, because all of them were fairly minor things. If you're considering switching to this, I definitely encourage you to do so, at least to give it a try!

Best solid shampoo/conditioner bars
I’ve been using this set for a couple of years now so I figured it time for a review. My hair is naturally thick with a wavy pattern. These solid shampoo and conditioner bars make my hair look like the Garnier Fructis commercials from back in the day; super soft and shiny, WITHOUT any leave in conditioner or additional styling products (the extra products will make most hair dirtier faster) . I use the TYMO ionic straightening brush for straight hair days, and the wash lasts for about 4-5 days before I notice oil. With dry shampoo I can manage to make it about a week without rewashing. If I leave my hair wavy/curly I get about 3-4 good days before my curl pattern flattens out and I get oily scalp. The scent is very very mild, which is good for sensitive noses. The conditioner runs out way faster than the shampoo so I usually keep an extra conditioner in my cabinet. The shampoo tends to last me several months though, which is nice. Hair fallout is very minimal, and my hair has become very strong over the years using this product.I’ll attach some recent photos that show my hair a couple days after wash.

First time shampoo bar user
After seeing how much plastic waste I was making with shampoo/conditioner bottles, I decided to try a shampoo bar for the first time. My hair is THICK, wavy and somewhat dry. I found it hard to get a lather at first. I had to rinse, lather, rinse and lather to get it going. I wash my hair twice a week and 4 washes in, I think it’s making my hair feel drier and not soft after. Also, there’s no way this is going to last 60 washes. I really want to find the perfect bar, ugh! I will say, the smell is really nice and have had people say I smelled really good.
