Glowing Reviews - Not My Experience
Even though this adapter will not work in europe (I emailed Victorinox and confirmed) I still ordered it as I thought it would be useful for domestic travel.I used it once. I had a cell phone plugged into the built in USB, an iPad plugged into one of the other plugs. After approximately 15 minutes, the phone began pinging as it started and stopped charging over and over again. The whole unit was dangerously hot to the touch, I was worried it was going to melt. I unplugged everything and am returning the device, it is a fire hazard. It has a lot of glowing reviews, but I have to say, my experience was very different.

Excellent travel case and strip
I considered several travel power strips before settling on this one, even though it's a little more expensive and here's why. (For reference, I also looked at the Monster/Outlets To Go and some generic ones).SIZE: This travel power strip is just the right size, and while its cord could be just a tad bit longer, it works out just fine most of the time. Depending on height of tables, sometimes it is just short of sitting easily on a nightstand or desk over an outlet, but other times its is a snug or decent fit.PRACTICAL USE: I use it while traveling so that I have all my chargers in one place and so I don't forget anything when I leave. Plus, sometimes there aren't enough outlets or they are so spread out that going between my laptop, phone, tablet, etc on business trips becomes more of a rain dance than I would prefer. Other than that, the cord is actually a decent heavier gauge wire that will support a decent load.USB: The USB outlet is perfect. At first I was hesitant to use the USB port since my smart phone is very picky about voltage but it seems just fine.CASE: The gem in this purchase is definitely the case and it makes up for the higher price. I carry (almost all purchased on Amazon):-the power strip itself (wrapped around itself)-a retractable MicroUSB cable-a coiled MiniUSB cable-a short straight MiniUSB cable-2 x short mini to micro adapters-a short microHDMI to HDMI cable-a retractable HDMI cable-two double USB port wall adapters (the smaller Vivitar one is nice, can't find it on Amazon, purchased on sale at MicroCenter)-a retractable audio cableOther than my laptop adapter and tablet charger, everything else that I ever need while traveling fits right in here! Plus I find the hook/strap on the end useful for hooking onto other items (though I wouldn't rely on it, since the out covering is part mesh)UNRELATED TRAVEL TIP: Get the Innergie mCube Plus 95W with 2 USB ports to replace your laptop power adapter. I find that with the power strip, this easily brings USB ports right up to your working level. I got it for $20 from 1Saleaday but it's also on Amazon Innergie mCube Plus 95 Watt Universal AC Adapter with Dual USB for Notebooks and Portable Devices (3 Year Warranty and Energy Star Certified)RELATED PRODUCT?: Obviously, Victorinox does not specialize in electronics so this is likely rebranded from someone else like many products these days are. Incidentally, this product Travel Power Strip is very strikingly similar but it is rated for 240V as well. The product info on this Victorinox adapter does NOT list 240V support so I would not try it.OVERALL: I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Okay
Works good but USB is not really reliable because when i charge my iPad, it works good for like first 15-30 min but than my iPad starts making sounds of connecting and disconnecting power every few seconds. There is another review about up here that mentions the same problem.

Monster is way better.
Why doesn't the cable measure correctly with the dimensions of the strip to wrap it around it? The extra loose wire is annoying. The USB is low amperage is would be better to have another outlet instead. I ended up buying the Monster one, great stuff no non-sense. This looks somewhat cool with the case and all but it is not very smart.

Nice travel power strip and case
Nice travel power strip and case. Would prefer the usb port to be a 2 amp instead of 1, but it works fine, appears well built.

One time only use.
This quit working after ONE use. I really thought that judging by the brand, it would be a good purchase. I took it on a trip, and after being used once, it no longer charged anything! Of course, by the time I returned from the trip, the "return window" had closed, and I couldn't even return it.Very disgusted.

SOOO handy!
I love traveling with this device and had one for years when my husband claimed it as his own. So I got this one to replace it. It's so great for travel since usually outlets are in awkward locations and there are not usually enough to charge your devices. But this has the outlets turned to the side (even the plug to plug it in is turned to the side) and so those plugs with the larger transformers will fit perfectly. The USB plug is an extra bonus so you can leave one of those charger plugs at home! Definitely a "must travel with".

Dead USB port, otherwise fine
Works fine as a small power strip, but the USB port was dead on arrival. I kept it only because that feature wasn't critical to me.
