ZoLi, Skip Hop, or Thinkbaby?
Let me start by saying that straw cups were a completely new territory for me. My 2 year old went immediately from bottle to a soft spout sippy cup. My 10 month old wanted nothing to do with a sippy cup. I could not figure out why she would not take a sippy cup, so I thought I would let her drink from my straw to see how she does. She immediately figured out how to use a straw, so I figured I better ditch the soft spout sippy cups and buy her some straw cups. I was pretty overwhelmed by all of the options for straw cups. After looking on Amazon and digging through reviews I decided to buy the ZoLi BOT Straw Cup, the Skip Hop Zoo Straw Bottle Owl 12 oz, and the Thinkbaby Thinkster Straw Bottle. These three straw cups got the best reviews, so I decided to make things easy and review all three for you.*ZoLi Bot*This straw cup definitely has its pros and cons. This is a 6oz cup with a silicon straw. I love that the straw is weighted at the bottom. No matter how much liquid is in it or which was she is tipping it, the straw will always move to the liquid. This cup is definitely one of her favorites. It is leak proof, but it does leak when she throws it on the ground. The biggest con to this cup is the straw. It is extremely difficult to clean the straw. If you plan on buying this cup I strongly recommend buying their straw cleaner as well. I’ve seen many reviews on mold growing in the straws and I can definitely see why. I personally do not have the straw cleaner, but it is a pain to clean. I’ve had the cup for a couple weeks now and no sign of mold yet, but I do inspect it every time I give it to her. She does like this cup, but they are a little expensive so I am waiting on buying more.*Skip Hop*This cup is also a favorite. I like the size of the cup and it is much easier to clean. When you buy this cup it also includes an extra straw, which is very nice! This cup is the cheapest of the three and it is very cute. The only down side to this cup is that it is not leak proof, so spills will happen. I try to only use this cup for water, or I’ll put milk in it when she is eating in her high chair. The fact that it is not leak proof may be a con, but it is also a pro because the liquid does come out faster than the other two. I think this is the reason why she likes it so much. She sometimes gets frustrated if she is not getting her drink as fast as she wants it. I will definitely be buying more of these cups.*Thinkbaby* This cup is my favorite. It’s big, has handles, and is leak proof. This cup is also pretty easy to clean. For some reason my baby just does not like it. She will drink out of it a little, but she mostly just throws it around or is uninterested in it. I have not figured out yet why she does not like it. It could be that the liquid does not come out fast enough for her. I have not found any cons with this one, so I would still recommend to give it a shot.

Waste of money. Lid falls off CONSTANTLY. Straw rips easily.
I purchased this for my daughter back at Christmas time as it was an easy stocking stuffer & she was getting ready to transition to a sippy cup for water. I purchased this because of looks. And I paid the price. Yes it comes in attractive color options unlike most sippy cups out there that are neon or covered in some cartoon design but everything else about it is a waste of money & energy. For starters, the threading at the top of the cup is so small that the lid fell off super easy. And you know what a baby does often? Drops their cup! I was cleaning up completely spilled cups on a daily basis no matter how many times I checked to make sure it was on correctly. Secondly, the straw is very thin & a pain to clean. If you were only serving water in it that would be one thing but if you put milk/juice/smoothie in it I personally would never feel like I could really get it clean. Also because you cannot remove the straw I felt like I could never get the lid really well cleaned around the straw. My daughter would get food crumbs stuck around the straw & it made for a nuisance while cleaning. And thirdly, the top of the straw has a cross cut mark in it. I’m not sure what the purpose behind this is as I’ve never seen another straw sippy cup with this. And the problem with that is it makes it all the more easier for the straw to rip because it’s already split! Today my daughter (who only has 3 teeth) managed to rip part of the straw off. Thankfully I realized before she was able to rip it all the way off & while I don’t think her swallowing a small piece of straw would harm her it’s also not something I am looking to have happen. So into the recycling it went immediately. I bought her a Tommy Tipee cup while shopping & the lid on that thing is hard for me to even get off so I think I found a better option for now. Save yourself the hassle, money, & time & just buy one of the ugly sippy cups & avoid this one.

Currently in the trash can...
Initially, this worked out great for my baby who was learning to suck from a straw. However, it WOULD NOT stop leaking!!! It was horrible! Even when the top kid was closed and it was just sitting upright on the table, we'd find it in a huge pool of spillage. Too late to return, it has been TOSSED!

A few isues but the best strawed cup we have found
I wish I could give these cups 5 stars because they are by far my child's favorite cups, however, there are a few issues that prevent the 5th start. First, the cups themselves are not extremely durable. A few drops and the cups tend to develop cracks (this has happened to at least 3 of them for us). Second, the straw is difficult to clean, especially is you put a liquid other than water into the cup. Finally, you have to make sure the lid is screwed on perfectly or else the cup will leak through the seal - it is easy to cross thread the lid onto the cup.The weighted straw work wonderfully though and it is easy to drink out of. We originally tried the Munchkin strawed cups and my child was not able to get any liquid out due to the suction force required (it was difficult for me to drink out of as well). The ZoLi straws don't leak but are easy to drink from. Also, if the straw becomes disconnected, it is easy to reconnect unlike many other strawed cups that require you to thread it through the lid.

Great cup
I have used something similar to this cup before (all made in Taiwan with very good quality) and they were my favourite! But I lost a few when I took my kids out so I bought this to try since it's made in Taiwan and the cup looks almost exactly the same - And it performs just as well as my other cups and probably better because the straws are thicker (from toddlers biting)! Very happy with my purchase.

Form over function
I really wanted to like this cup but I’m afraid I don’t. It’s difficult to clean and difficult to drink from (both my toddler and I have struggled!). I liked that my toddler would be able to tip it and the straw would still work, but to be honest, he worked out quite quickly that straw cups don’t work if tipped! It’s a stylish looking cup and it doesn’t leak, but even at the hugely discounted price I paid, it wasn’t worth it. Shame, as I generally like Zoli products.

If you can't get a B-box, this one works ok.
It works OK as described. sometimes it leaks a little bit. If you carefully close it properly and tightly, it will not. I am comparing it with a similar product from B-box, a brand from Australia, which I can't buy it here so I went for Zoli for a similiar design. I like B-box more than Zoli. Its locker matches better, no need extra attention. My baby usually throws the cup away after finish her drink. So this improvement makes a difference.

Nice first cup
Nice first cup. Leaks if there's water inside the thread when you screw it on though, so you have to shake it out vigorously.Bit of a plastic smell to the water after being in there for a few hours though. Suspect, like most products, that even though it's BPA free, it isn't EA free. Ie estrogenic activity free

Great cup loved by my 20 month old
This cup is great. My son loves drinking out of it and drinks more water since having this cup. I've had it a few months and it has survived being thrown on a hard tiled floor at least a couple of times a day! I agree about needing to ensure that the top is threaded correctly when it's screwed on - once you've got the hang of this, it doesn't leak at all. I haven't found any problems cleaning the straw - I just put the weight end under a hot tap and squeeze the end of the straw and the water squirts out of the straw.
