This pen writes as smoothly as my more expensive pens. I’ve only used it for about an hour, but so far it’s a winner. I also like its diameter, and when posting the cap both the cap and the barrel are the same diameter. Clean and comfortable to hold. Nothing fancy to look at, but that’s not the point of the tool. It’s for writing, not displaying. What a bargain.

I have a couple of other Wordsworth and Black fountain pens that I am happy with, so I thought I would give this one a try. I ordered this one in EF and it writes beautifully! I will ask for the same in black for Christmas so that I have a blue and black pen and don't have to change cartridges. For less than $25, this is a great value!!! It feels great in my hand and writes clear and smooth with no skips from just the first few strokes after putting in the blue ink cartridge. The ink cartridges included as a little thinner than the barrel, so they are easy to insert and you can hear (and feel) the click when it seats correctly. It took some pressure to insert the cartridge, but not an unusual amount.The description and one photo are inaccurate. The description says it comes with 5 ink cartridges. One photo shows the whole package and says 3 ink cartridges and points to the box of ink cartridges. Look closer at the photo and the box clearly says on it "2 PCS" - 2 cartridges. You do indeed receive the box as shown with only 2 ink cartridges. Mine came with one black and one blue cartridge. I ordered a larger box of ink cartridges in the past from Wordsworth and Black, so not a big deal for me, but it does only come with 2. My 5 stars is based on the review of the pen, not the wrong number of ink cartridges sent.

This is a very nice pen. Solid. It is a lovely style and has a nice feel. I load my own ink into the pens. The converter included works perfectly. The ink flows nicely out of the nib on all kinds of papers.I'v ordered two of these pens from Amazon. Unfortunately the nib size I ordered for the first one was incorrect. I did not request a replacement - it was my first fountain pen, so I was open to trying it. I do like the extra fine nib for writing and for working with my watercolors. This situation of not getting the correct nib size brought to my attention that I cannot change the nib on these pens. In the future, I will check to make sure I purchase only pens I can replace/change the nib. (This is why I gave a 4 star rating. I wish it has been stated in the description nibs could not be changed/replaced.)I've used a couple of inks in these pens (non-water proof and water proof); both inks work well in the pens. I would recommend this pen for an introduction into using a fountain pen. However, double check the nib size when you receive it.

Once I started using this pen, for the first time in my life women began hitting on me.Billionaires suddenly wanted to befriend me. The Clintons bought me a Rolex as a gift. Obama said I was the coolest guy he's ever met. Trump said he wished he were me, and now I have penthouse access to Trump Tower.Unfortunately, this pen then ran off with my wife, then she gave birth to three ballpoint pens and we were all like "what is going on here," so TLDR pen was cool but ruined my life.--Serious note, the nib is not detachable. And while this a decent fountain pen for how inexpensive it is, but it doesn't write as well as I'd have expected. Still, get what you pay for.

I really like this pen, moves smoothly across the paper. It fits fairly well in my large hands and feels nice and solid. This is the second one of these pens that I have purchased, one with a fine nib, for writing and this one with an extra-fine nib for drawing. I love them both. These pens are a great value for the money, and a great way to get into fountain pens.

This is a one time use pen if that, the first I received the package there was no pen in it. So I had to go through the process of returning it. I received the pen in the second package it worked when it wanted to I know how to use a fountain pen I have several. When it finally ran out of ink which was fairly quick I ordered the replacement ink for that pen and they leaked all the time I ruined two pair of pants with this pen I guess you get what you pay for is true. I would not recommend this one to anyone I finally threw my pen away when the black ink exploded all over my hands. This is a waste of money DO NOT BUY!

The color shown isn't the color that came. The pen leaks after hearing the click. I followed the instructions and I went to use it and had ink all over my fingers and my purse.. I've tried to contact 🙃 customer service and found nothing to help.

So the pen itself is fine, bleeds a bit sometimes while writing but figure that’s normal. My issue is that it says it comes with 5 ink cartridges and that was part of why I chose this one. It actually only comes with 2, one blue and one black. If you are doing a lot of writing like I do for my job, the cartridges don’t last very long. Misleading your customers isn’t great business practice.
