Q: is this cruelty free?

Q: If this is loose powder, would adding some alcohol to it make it pressed powder?

Alcohol is not a binding agent so it would not help press the powder. You would need an oil based product that will still allow the powder to glide easily on the skin. Additionally, you would have to be very careful of how much you use because it is easy to make it too much like paste.
