I highly recommend this drone for older (10-year-old+) beginners. For younger pilots, try the "TOZO Q2020", which is apparently the same product, but with altitude hold. This ELF is a wonderful quad to train in manual throttle because of its durability and control both indoors and out. Side note: Like most drones with 360° propeller protection, it is very loud! Once you master this drone, and are looking for a quieter and more agile one that uses the same battery, try the Holy Stone HS170 Predator. Being generous with 3 stars. 24+ reviews and not one mention of the abysmal instruction manual. The worse Chinese to English translation I've ever seen. There is no way these are honest reviews due to the fact that not a one person commented on the horrendous instruction manual. Was barely able to decipher how to get it to sync (bind) with the remote. The worst of all are the instructions (or lack there of) to put into headless mode or altitude hold. I never did figure out (as far as I know) - and if I did, all it did was fly sideways immediately after takeoff. In non-headless mode, I was able to somewhat control it, but barely. Quite often, and without much input on the joystick, flew it into the neighbors yard. Difficult to fly, difficult to control, instructions are a complete joke. No contact information whatsoever. Sent back due to it being non-functional in headless mode, and overall to much of a pain to try to get good with it. Lesson learned. I suspect most drones in this price range are going to have similar limitations. The Tozo Q2020 is identical by the way (same product, different name).

RCtown ELF II Mini RC Drone came nicely packed without any damage. This RC Drone is made of ABS materials and it is flexible and not easy t be broken. This RC quadcopter is very stable, precise and it flies really well and it flips nicely, It comes with a little transmitter, USB charging cable and 4 pieces of spare props. The remote control is equipped with a LED display for reading electric quantity, rubber volume, and channel etc. it takes about 15 minutes to charge and get about 5 minutes flight out of it. Before using this we need to sync the quadcopter with the transmitter by moving the left throttle to upwards and then backward. And to flip you need to press the right button and do and flip and it will beep to let you know that is waiting to flip and once you give the input it will flip and it will turn the flip mode back.It has got nice tight flips and it is really good stable flips.

Gave it to my son for Xmas. Today was the 1st time getting a chance to use it. Let it fully charge as the instructions said to. Took it to a near by empty field. Used a piece of plywood as a landing/take-off pad. He started to power up for take off and I noticed the back wasn't spinning as fast as the front propelers. Adjusted the trim some so it would balance and take off evenly. Got it maybe a foot off the landinding pad and and it flipped backwards. Picked it up and held it, had my son power up and both rear propellers would not move. My son and I are both very disappointed in this drone.1st time to use it and it doesn't work. Would never buy another of this brand again.

For the money, great product. Good beginner drone. We bought this for my stepson because he kept asking for a drone. He's only six, so we were a little worried that he wouldn't be able to fly it, but he figured it out right away without any issues after his dad showed him how the controls work. The battery only lasts about 5 minutes between each charge, which is a pain, but also a blessing because it forces him to go do something else for a while between charges.

This is a great beginner drone to buy as it's decently priced so you won't feel bummed out if you break it. I would highly suggest buying a cheaper drone first as being a newbie you will definietly crash it and need more practice controlling the drone. This has a pretty good accurate response time. Drone is stable for the most part and can do 360° flips. Battery is actually great on this as it last a 7-8 mins and takes about an hour charge time.

Loved that my daughter figured out how to work this before everyone else! My grandkids loved it and I was the best Grandmother on the block for Christmas lol! Works for a short time but long enough for the kids to enjoy before they have to recharge it! Took a beating but I did have to return a couple that went out quickly. Replacements worked great I ordered 5 & returned 2 with such a quick turnaround that I had received the new ones before I returned the old ones! Thank you! Very happy!

love these mini drones,but honesty bought a few of them because they run out of battery pretty quick so one can charge while my son plays with the other. Hours of entertainment and the cage around the blades is great too, we purchased one without and the blades kept breaking off, the circle to protect is great and good for bumping into walls etc.
