It is not microwave safe by any means, last line on the listing: "【Care Instructions】:Do not store this mug near the heating devices or leave them in the sun, the resin dries up and later cracks may appear. Best place for keeping resin goods is in the locker or any other dry place. Do not leave resin items in a container with water for a long time. Wipe them dry with a towel after each time you wash them. Drying in any drying equipment is contraindicated and leads to deformation and cracking. Do not microwave, carefully use in the freezer."

My item came broke how can I replace it ?

I'm "assuming" you've had it for a while and the return period is over. When you say "replace it"...go online, pick out and buy a new one. IF you're meaning "fix" it or "get it fixed" , you didn't mention what "broke". I doubt the handle can be repaired like new, but if it were mine, I'd try a good super glue for starters. It's a resin so you may find something to fix that. Google. Google.Google. You're not the first to have this happen to.

Is the metal insert removable to wash?

No. You got to hand wash. Additionally there is a padded coaster on the bottom which you never get nowadays so it's nice to set down on my wooden coffee table but I dont like to get it wet. Hope this helps, it is a nice mug!
