O-Ring at the base helped
I used this seat bolt on my 2008 Harley Davidson Dyna and I think it worked better than the O.E. screw that held the seat down. The rubber o-ring on the base of the bolt gave it some compression on the threads that would help it not come loose. I will certainly recommend this item to anyone else.

Best kind of seat bolt
Sure—it might be a little easier for someone to steal your seat, but is that really a problem? It looks better and makes it easer for me if I need to remove the seat and don't happen to have a screwdriver in my pocket, which I never do. My old Harley shakes like a chihuahua, and this screw doesn't loosen. That's all I ask for.
