It was lovely, but we had to return it because it was the wrong shape for my daughters opening in her fireplace. But we were impressed by the value for money it was, if it was right for us.

Great for the price

Have had these for some time now.On receiving these they looked a little 'low quality'. Maybe some more attractive (darker) packaging might give a better impression before opening.These have been properly tested. Everything fits together well and both have withstood lots of fires and provided it safely.On issue would be the fittings (decorative nobs) don't seem to be able to be secured completely so can be removed easily, otherwise great and looking forward to more FIRE! this winter :)

This is my second one of these, I bought the last one 4 years ago and the grate finally burnt through so needed replacing. At the price I paid, it's not exactly a hardship, grates on their own cost nearly this much, and much as I'd love an open basket grate I need one with a front to stop the tortoises climbing into the hot ash.They're fine little grates, the only problem is the black coating burns off in patches so it ends up looking dusty grey, but that isn't a problem because grates are ashy when they are in use, and hidden by flower vases and glass candle holders in the summer when it isn't.

I have tried to contact the supplier but especially as of yesterday it seems impossible. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR A REAL FIRE !!! We bought this as the grate disintegrated on the first one after only 20 months and panic buyed another for Christmas....within 24 hours the knob which was welded unlike the first which screwed in fell off, the chrome as you can see tarnished within three days, I am recovering from breast cancer so just ordered for a quick fix for Christmas, if it’s for show it looks great but for a real fire it’s rubbish quality and from the 22nd December we have had to replace it two weeks ago, so totally false economy go for a much pricier grate which will last. It would have been good to have a response from either Amazon or the supplier ... WARNING DO NOT BUY FOR A REAL FIRE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!!!!

Looks great but really flimsy tray.

Perfect for the price! measurements were accurate so I was able to check it fit before buying. it has been used and abused since being bought ans still looks good. The tray at the bottom is great because it has a lip at the back (which not all do!) so when you come to remove it to empty, you don't spill it everywhere. Would buy again.

It fits perfectly into my fireplace and looks very smart. Altogether very pleased with it
