The tooth brush handle needed a battery ( the dreaded Midnight BUZZZZZ ) and then the switch failed. The top rubber seal had split ( See Photo ) and had been leaking in to the barrel of the brush which corroded the switch. The kit comes with the tools, the replacement battery and top seal needed. ( Note: I had to swap out the circuit board with another spare dead battery handle that I had because I could not get the switch to work after attempting to clean it with both alcohol and Freon. ) I followed the video instructions using the provided tools attempting to avoid damage to the end cap rubber seal ( See Photo ). I was too aggressive with the ( provided ) spade tool and damaged the rubber on the first end cap I removed. Note: Do not attempt to use a flat head screwdriver because the sharp edges risk cutting the seal in half. On my spare second handle I took twice as long to carefully remove the end cap and only inserted the spade tool just enough to catch the top plastic lip and not the rubber gasket. No Damage except for a minor scratch or two in the plastic cap edge. Removing the guts of the unit requires using the tool to release two plastic side tabs ( Flash light helps ). The battery replacement goes exactly as they show in the video and the kit actually comes with solder to reconnect the terminals. Handle now works like it did when it was brand new. Ebay sells a replacement handle for about $60, so this kit is a good value and worth the time to install.

We really appreciate all the repair tools. One fault is we got two shaft seals and no end cap. Had to reuse the old cap.

I purchased this kit to replace the battery in my Philips Sonicare toothbrush. The kit tools are great. It even comes with a small piece of soldering iron. But the prongs are too short on the battery ends. In my picture I've taken a picture of the side profile. I'm slightly prying the board up from the black plastic frame. The battery prong should protrude through the black plastic frame and up through the board to be soldered on. The prong isn't long enough to reach up through the board. I had to return my kit for a refund and buy another. Hope the replacement works. I miss my Sonicare.

Battery works like a charm, but the sealing is not even close to the original one and I regretted putting it on. The toothbrush only lasted two days before pcb shorted
