Sturdy, sharp and exa try what I was looking for, to use in my classroom for various crafts.

So hard to find any location, even hobby stores don't seem to stock them anymore. Key to my Christmas project.

The zig zag shears worked perfectly but the scalloped shears were very dull and wouldn't even cut the thinnest material.

So much easier to grip and use than expected.Sharp and heavy.Seem very sturdy.

These shears are well designed - the blades are rounded across their width to create stiffness, and there is a ball bearing to keep the cutting surface from drifting inward. I'm impressed.The handles are hard plastic, and the pivot hinge is a little tight, so I expect to get some hand fatigue when doing large projects. I actually prefer hard handles to the coated ones, inasmuch as the coating will break down and get sticky over time.The shears can't be tightened, which is too bad - dull scissors are usually just loose scissors. However, that feature would probably double the price of the set.
