Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. - Small Batch Tonic (Classic Tonic Syrup)

This is pretty good stuff, just a bit too pricey i'm afraid.

Lovely addition to your G and T

First taste of this syrup was too acid for me. Try soda water like the Americans do rather than soda stream (carbonated tap water) and the alkalinity from the bicarb in the soda water offsets the acid syrup quite well. It then makes a better platform for additions of choice. I added some powdered fructose and a squeeze of pink grapefruit juice and it was lovely with my gin. I am determined not to cave in to outrageously priced tonics which after all are 99.99% water. Experimentation continues!

Brilliant for cocktails.

A pleasant enough taste, but not very tonic like in my opinion! Bought it to make tonic with a soda stream, and even though it was expensive I thought it would work out ok, as the bottle is 500mls. I need to put about 60mls in 500mls of water to get any flavour, and as it’s 33 calories in 15 mls, it’s quite calorie laden! I won’t be buying any more, as it’s too full of sugar for me.

Really good a new experience with gin

Surely it can't be too difficult to make a Tonic Water Syrup that tastes like shop bought canned or bottled Tonic Water. Admittedly this is one of the better attempts but at the price I'd still be better off buying tonic off the shelf.

I just love tonic, and this JACK RUDY Classic Tonic Syrup is crisp and refreshing. There is no bitter after taste like some other brands. I only drink tonic by itself, I do not use it as a mixer. So, I can say without a doubt that Jack Rudy Classic is fantastic. We have a sodastream and just add syrup to taste. I drink tonic nightly, so I definitely have strong opinions on what makes a good tonic syrup. At 16 oz. this is a nice size syrup bottle for the price. That being said, it is on the pricier side of tonic syrups, so I do not use it daily. In the future I will order the double pack to save a little bit of money.The directions are easy to follow and can be adjusted to personal taste.On the nights I am feeling like a treat, I use this Jack Rudy Classic. It is not my daily drink as I would go through it too quickly. It is nice knowing that a special treat is there for the drinking whenever I need it.This would make a great gift for anyone that has a bar set up at home. If they like a gin and tonic this would make them very happy.

I should've read the other reviews here. This syrup is exceedingly sweet and absolutely flavourless. There is no quinine flavour at all. You have more flavour and quinine in a can of Schweppes than you do with this syrup. Waste of money, I'll be pouring it down the drain.

Love the flavor and the fact that I’ll never throw out a bottle of flat tonic again… and that I can adjust the intensity at my discretion… oh, and did I mention I don’t have to pay the premium prices for the small glass bottles of tonic either!!

It is convenient to make a gin tonic with this product. I wish it would contain a bit more of lemon juice.

Taste great in Gin & Tonic! Can by MUCH cheaper at Total Wine!
