i had them powder coated for my harley use mostly for esthetics but i am sure will be somewhat effective

Works great as long you are moving
It does get a bit hot while idling, but as soon you move and it's exposed to fresh air, it cools down almost instantly.I use it on a good looking and sounding but poorly designed Freedom Performance exhaust on a heavy cruiser and it took away the sting.

It has little standoffs to space from the pipe. Not great but its a metal guard, doest need to be special lol

I installed this item on my 2023 Honda Rebel 1100. My leg has touched the exhaust a few times so I seen this item and tried it out. Installed fine over my exhaust pipe and has a good area coverage. It does get warm but nothing like the bare exhaust pipe.
