y nephew loves these books as did my niece and other nephew when they were younger. Me? Not so sure what the appeal is but every time I get him the next book he gets so excited! If your kiddo loves Pokemon they'll love these.

While not as serious as the main stream manga series, this is a definite pick up if you like pokemon due to the sheer ammounts of humor it has in it^^

Great book was not at my library so I was excited when I saw this

The humor in this series is decent, such as the expressions and visual gags, but the fact that the main character (Hareta) is able to do things such as break free from ropes or kick a large boulder like a soccer ball despite his diminutive size, or think of complex strategies despite being canonically stupid, really seems to put a strain on the reader's willing suspension of disbelief. Despite that, I still want to see how it ends.
