Works well
Pumped up the tyres on my camper van easily

Brilliant!
Just what I needed, a tyre inflator with a bit more oomph than the usual ones. It certainly looks a bit more 'industrial strength'. My only real complaint is that the gauge could be better, but it's adequate.

early signs are good. The compressor has now been used to top ...
Hopefully the 4 star rating will progress to 5 if the machine performs well over the coming months, early signs are good. The compressor has now been used to top up the pressure in two caravan tyres up to 65 psi and did so in a very workmanlike manner with no signs of stress and no attempts to vibrate itself to oblivion, very impressive and relatively speedy, the rate of progress does slow down marginally as the pressure passes the 60psi mark. All the connections are metal and inspire confidence, one slight problem is the screw on connection to the tyre valve which has to been screwed on quite firmly to achieve an airtight seal when working at 60/70 psi and is not easy to remove without partially deflating the tyre, it may become easier with practice and it should not be a problem at all when requiring values around 35psi because there would be no need to have such a tight connection and, in any event, a whole lot better than clip on connections. The gauge is small and goes up in fives (psi) but I did not have a problem estimating when it had reached say 62 or 64 psi, I doubt that it is not all that critical anyway assuming that the gauge is accurate which I have not yet checked. All in all I rate it, solid, simple and easy to use and practical e.g. it clips direct to the battery terminals thus avoiding blowing the fuses to the internal power sockets - someone has thought it through. It's all quite simple and basic with no presets, lights etc to complicate matters which is a good thing because the brief manual is also simple and basic!

Quick to pump up the tyres even large tyres that I have on a BMW. Having croc clips is much easier as you just connect it to the battery rather than running the engine to keep the cigarette lighter on.

Save your money
I bought this in March 2015 after looking at the seemingly identical, but more expensive, RAC Ring branded version.I have used it no more than 10 times in the intervening 15 months and only to top up my car tyres, but the unit stopped pumping out air last week and that cements my view that this is badly made and poor value. When it worked it was fine, but the quality of the accessories (carry bag, coiled hose, air-line connectors, electrical wire and clamps etc) are quite poor and I should have seen that as an indicator of how robust the sealed compressor unit was going to be.

Excellent quality/price/size ratio
Fantastic performance, used in the Dunes of Morocco to inflate my tyres and for it rediced size it worked very well.

Not as described in listing and on box. 15A motor. 30L/min airflow.
Packaging was sturdy.Pump came in useful nylon carry bag which was resting directly on the polystyrene liner so some white staining on the carry bag occured where the feet of the pump had pressed the nylon into the polystyrene. Also some scuffing of the nylon, perhaps during transit where sharp edges had cut fibres.Tyre valve connection is a screw-on type with a poorly machined screw so its fiddly to connect and there's potential for cross threading and causing damage to tyre valve.Pressure gauge is not accurate and under-reads by 4psi.5m coiled hose can stretch about 2.5m before it starts dragging the pump.Power cables of 2.5m must be clipped to battery terminals (no cigarette lighter connection).Amazon pictures and description are not accurate the motor is 15A (not 23A as shown in picture or 30A as stated on box)Airflow advertised as 45L/min but label on motor states 35 L/min.If, as suggested in the instructions, you attach the tyre connector before starting the pump then it will not start (and will probably burn out the motor).I uncoupled the quick connector of the hose extension, threaded the tyre connector, started the pump and then reconnected the quick connector to avoid stalling/overloading the pump motor. The pump noise is about as loud as a raised voice. The pressure gauge is not useful. Tyre pressure of a saloon car was raised from 25 to 30 psi in about 1 min.Overall, not as good as I had been expecting but not awful.
