It seems like an accurate unit to me, as I've compared it to my existing unit which I know to be reliable. The lancing device makes getting a spot of blood pretty easy with only a quick tiny prick of pain. Barely noticeable (not like a finger prick blood test, which requires a lot more and makes more of a mark).The unit is easy to use and gives a quick reading (under 5 seconds). It's handy to have the little case to store everything in because it would be too easy to lose any of the individual items (pot of strips, lancing device, lancing tips etc.)My main issue is that currently I can't find any replacement strips for the unit. I had this problem before with another random not-well-known brand. They create these units then quickly stop making the strips, but then manufacture very similar new units, so you have no option but to buy a new unit. This is enough to put me off buying a brand like this (oh, and it's £15 more expensive than the unit I have, which is just as good!)My existing unit is one which takes universal strips, so I hope that they will never stop producing those.

I am so glad I bought this kit, it’s giving me very encouraging results, enough to know that I am no longer regarded as diabetic and all my efforts with the keto/5:2 diet have not been in vain. I’ve only just recently become a diabetic and by just 1 IFCC point (49 IFCC/6.6% DCCT) but it was enough to frighten me. I managed to get down into the centre borderline diabetic reading (46 IFCC/6.4% DCCT) by myself and without this machine to support me. BUT... I don’t want to be a borderline diabetic, I want to be so far away from the borderline that I need never worry about diabetes again if I continue the way I’m going with my diet. I do 3 readings a day and have discovered that the reading on waking is always much higher than the final reading at bedtime, I think it’s called “The dawn phenomenon” and apparently perfectly normal for some people and nothing to worry about. I keep a very strict record of all readings so that I can do an average reading at the end of a 3month period. My Doctor used to test me once every 3 months to keep an eye that I am in fact managing to reverse the diabetic diagnosis. Now I’m doing so well by myself that they only test me once a year. Once a year is not enough for me, I need to know more regularly and that’s why I invested in this machine. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done, and I know that eventually I’ll get down to an average reading that is very low, and all danger of diabetes has passed. My personal target is a score of 25 IFCC/4.4% DCCT. This machine gives DCCT % readings but they are not the readings my Doctor gives me, I’m given the IFCC readings, so to convert the machine readings to IFCC readings I go to the Diabetes.co.uk website where I can use their calculator to convert to IFCC. This machine has been an absolute God send to me, it’s reassuring me every day that I should keep going the way I am and that my blood glucose levels are coming right down and if I’m sensible with my diet, will continue to do so until I reach my target of 25 IFCC and I’ll only be having to check blood glucose levels once a week or so. I strongly recommend this machine to anyone who feels they need to know what is going on with their body and their diabetes without having to rely on their well-intentioned Doctor to take control. I could not buy the strips .

Though this product was recommended by my friends. Paid extra pounds as I thought Gold plated conductors will give accurate reading but still there is big difference in reading every time you check again.Overall this is a good product to check your random blood sugar but It is not best for diabetics as it give you different reading.The build quality and response is quick otherwise.

This sinocare diabetes testing kit arrived boxed.In the box there is everything needed to check/monitor the blood glucose level, even batteries were included.The set is very portable, arrived with nice organiser/storage bag, so every item has its own place.This monitor is easy to use, but I had to read the user guide first and I followed it step by step.Well made, but a bit expensive in comparison to my previous device, which does the same job.It seems to be well designed and built. Plastic feels of a decent quality. This blood sugar monitor has gold electrode and arrived with 25 test strips.Painless to use, results are ready in about 5sec. and are pretty accurate, I've compared it with my old device.I like that I can store up to 999 measurements in the device.Display is clear and easy to read.Unfortunately I couldn't find test strips for this model to buy separately. I hope that they will be in stock soon as without them the device is useless.Well made, accurate and easy to use, just a bit pricey.

I've used and have been using many of these glucose monitors and I found it throughout the years that they're very vague in their readings but with this Sonicare gold the latest model I found it's been very accurate every single time

It does a basic job, but the price is higher than other similar model.
