Did the job
So I just used this product for the first time. As other reviewers have mentioned it is slightly heavy when using BUT it didnt stop me using it for 2 hours to clean a double decker coach. I thought i'd give it a quick try with just water and no soap. Very happy with the results, the brush got the grime off with ease. Easy to set up and use, no dripping down the pole. Very comfortable to use with the two soft grips on the pole. Hands didnt get cold even when using it today in 3C weather! Just remember to turn the water off on the pole before turning the brush round to use the squeegee, else you might end up soaking yourself! When turning the water on with the switch on the pole, it does come out with a blast due to the water pressure but I found it best to just leave it switched on and just have a trickle coming out. Would happily recommend.

Does the job nicely
Pros:This is a sturdy and light telescopic extending window cleaner with a large, soft brush on the end. The brush has a rubber edge which you can use as a scraper to get most of the water off. I washed my (filthy) windows of my two storey house using only the brush and the rubber scraper and I'm very happy with the finish, no need to shammy them. It also comes with a soap dispenser attachment which I tried but ended up not really using, water alone did a good enough job.Cons:It comes with a soap dispenser or a simple hose attachment. Whilst the simple attachment screwed on easily, the soap dispenser had a problem with its thread. I had to get a knife and adjust the end of the thread a bit before I managed to get it to screw onto the body. I tried using washing up liquid in the soap dispenser because you need to use liquid soap. There is a switch to turn the soap on and off but it has to travel up a 13ft pole so there is a delay between switching it and getting soapy results. I also found that the soap was used up very quickly but I think with practice you could get the knack of switching it on an off briefly. Anyway, I found I didn't really need soap. The pole is quite awkward to control when fully extended and full of water. There is an 18ft version of this device but I had enough trouble with this 13ft one. My house is on a hill so it's a little higher than two storeys at one end. I had to go half way up a step ladder to reach high enough but that was fine.I would advise anyone to either wear waterproofs tightly done up or wear swimwear because the water goes everywhere (if you're like me) and you can get pretty wet.I didn't mind getting wet, it was fun and the windows are now sparkling so I would recommend this product, save yourself ongoing window cleaner fees with this one-off purchase and you'll have fun and save money.

ITS A BUY
First of all how it works, since there were no instructions with mine.1. Attach the brush at one end with a screw motion.2. Attach the small adaptor at the other end. (Personally I am not using the large adaptor (v shaped soap holder) which seems to be more trouble than it is worth)3. If you have a hoselock hose then simply detach your current nozzle and push fit the hose into the small adaptor4. Turn on the water supply at the tap.5. Get in position and switch the small switch on the small adaptor to ON.6. Clean windowsI am delighted with the product which is strong and useful, cutting my previous window cleaning time by a factor of 10.On the downside the wiper blade is not easy to control well on the upstairs windows and yes the hose gets a tad heavy with the water in but not a problem if you are holding it vertically.

Solidly made, unwieldy, but does as good a job as anything short of climbing up a ladder yourself
The device feels solid and well made. It is true that when full of water it is a bit heavy, as it must hold a few litres of water, so of course it tends to wobble about a bit and need a firm grasp. Inevitably the end result of washing a window using a 13 foot pole cannot be as good as wiping it down by hand, but it gets the worst off, and is better than my previous method of using a woolly pad and squeegee at the end of a similar pole, as it has a constant supply of clean water. Some windows actually look quite good. You do need to get to know the tricks of the trade: switch on the device’s water tap before switching on the hose, or the pressure will probably force the hose off again. Don’t use a big flow of water or you’ll be drenched. Hold the device brush down when disconnecting, to avoid the water running out all over your feet. Wash the upstairs windows before the downstairs ones. Be prepared to get wet, as you can’t always stand clear of the surplus water cascading down. Faint praise, but the only alternative is to get up on a ladder (no thanks) or use a window cleaner.

Perfect!
Brilliant product. Finally, after several failures in past years, I have at last found the perfect answer to cleaning my conservatory roof quickly and easily. This pole & brush combo did the job easily, with absolutely zero leakage from any of the joints or connectors (and that was really important to me as I can only do my conservatory roof from the bedroom window and I don't need any water spraying on the carpets). The water on/off switch also worked perfectly, while the very large brush head strikes just the right balance between hard and soft to get the roof spotlessly clean in seconds without too much effort. However, and as other reviewers have said, you do need to be quite strong to use this as the fully extended pole, when full of water, is unsurprisingly both heavy and unwieldy, and takes a lot of strength to control it (though, to be fair, I also think it would be a lot easier to use if I was able to stand on level ground below, rather than hang out of a window above, my roof!). Highly recommended. (PS delivery was excellent too!)
