GorillaAll Purpose Wood Filler Wood Repair Kit with Putty Knife and Sanding Block

Had a friends dog over that decided to chew some trim on the edge of one of my doors. I debated replacing the trim or repairing, ultimately deciding to try and repair first. I bought this for the project. I cleaned up the area by removing all loose material. When I first started adding this product, I was disappointed. It wasn't as "sticky" as I hoped and it seemed dry as others have mentioned. I ended up applying more than I needed, expected to sand it down later. After applied I was worried it wasn't going to stick and all chip out as soon as I started sanding. I gave it overnight. The next day I was very surprised and impressed. This is as close to "real" wood as I have seen. Some magic happened during the drying process. It was very had and adhered extremely well. I was able to both sand and sort of sculpt / chisel / scrap to match the shape of the original trim. I ended up adding some additional material and it bonded much better to the original dried layer of it's own material. I'm handy but no pro and felt this was perfect for the job. Just painted my first coat over it and it seems to be exactly what I needed. The repair is unnoticeable unless you get very close. I can imagine it's only easier / better for small jobs and patching smaller holes.

It will work if you need to fill in some wood

Building an outdoor shower and wanted to fill the holes before sanding and staining. This came with a putty knife and sander block. Easy to use, wood putty is thick almost like playdough. If it drops on the ground you can pick it up. My shower will look great after I stain it!

I’ve used this wood filler on a few projects, and it’s been great. It’s easy to apply, dries fast, and sands down smoothly. The finished repair blends in really well with the wood. I’m no professional, but this product made it look like I am!
