I love these little cuties! 🐣❤️💛💙 I specifically chose this brand because it has a vintage, nostalgic look. I purchased one for my mother and one for myself and I'm going to get one more to give to a friend who saw it at my house and thought it was adorable.It works perfectly every time! You pop it in the water at the same time you put your eggs in and the corresponding colors gradually disappear as the temperature increases, so you can monitor exactly how cooked the eggs are getting. Its basically a kind of thermometer, so it is going to be more accurate than a timer because it's going off of the actual temperature in the water. A timer isn't always perfect because the cooking time can vary depending on how cold your eggs are, how many eggs go in the pot, etc.It has been perfectly accurate for whatever type of egg I want to cook. Its such a handy useful item to have in the kitchen. As a little tool that will potentially never stop working, never needs batteries and can never break it is well worth purchasing!

This is a really fun kitchen gadget. I like to watch the colors disappear as the eggs cook. I'm not sure how it works, but the colors progressively turn to white the longer it sits in the boiling water. I turned the heat off towards the end to see if the egg timer's colors would continue to recede. It has to do with how long the eggs have been sitting in the hot water and not with the temperature per se.So far, it makes eggs exactly how I want them every time.
