Def needed the filter change, water pressure changed when the filter is dirty.

I live an apartment life, have for most of my life. I never knew what I was doing to my body until I started using the shower filter. My face has less breakouts, my skin feels smoother, and even the bit of hair I have feels a little less oily. If you live the apartment life and do not like hard water, I would strongly recommend purchasing the shower filter and keeping an extra couple of filters around. Once these get dirty, they don't let the contaminates through, they just stop letting water get through as easy also.

The media could not be loaded. On the bright side, it seemed to make the tap water smell cleaner and irritate my eczema less. We have chloramine in the tap water here, rather than the older chlorine, so no filter can take it out very effectively (KDF does best it seems, but that's crazy expensive...vitamin C also works but I'm having trouble finding a vitamin C showerhead product of reliable quality that's built to last).On the downside, less than two months after installation, water pressure is way lower. That was why I was buying a replacement cartridge in the first place; the old cartridge was a couple years old (I know,, I waited too long, but the water pressure was still fine!) and when I replaced the old one with this one, it was great to have full water pressure again! But it didn't last long. When I took it apart, it's not like there were visible solids blocking the intake...it just seems to have clogged up inside much faster than I was hoping.But then again, it looks like perhaps the company stopped producing this off to the side filter model in favor of in-line filters.

These guys have come a long way for filters. I like this filter as much as the smaller one. You can see all the grime it collects it's great!

Very happy with my sparkpod shower filter. These replacements work as well as the original giving me better shower pressure with this filter than without. Each one lasts me about three months.

This company is absurd and treats their customers like trash. They make you buy the sparkpod (housing for the filter) and then the filters go out of stock (which has happened atleast twice since we started using this product). Without the filter, you cannot use the Sparkpod. I’ve emailed them multiple times and their response was to tell me to buy a different filtration system all together (one that doesn’t work well at all). After I told them that was unacceptable, they simply ignored my emails. While the Sparkpod itself is great, my family and I cannot use it because there are no filters available and this is a consistent problem with this company.
