Trixie Cuddly Bed For Guinea Pigs,30 x 22cm, Assorted Colors

I got two of these to try, and my two piggies so liked them that I've got two more, for when I need to wash them, as they both like to sleep in them every night, from the first night I put them down.I make a base pad of newspaper, using about 8 layers/pages, that fills the base and is held in place nicely as it fits easily under the fleecy rim, and then I lay a square fleece on top. By morning the paper has absorbed all the wee, and left the bed itself still dry.They wash very easily, just by hand, and spin dry well, and I am very impressed with how strong the stitching is throughout, and how well made they are - each one of the four, faultless. Very impressed.

My pig absolutely loves his beds as you can see! In fact, sometimes I have trouble getting him out of bed so I can clean because he loves sleeping in them (and he’s lazy!). They’re not huge and I think if he grows any more these may be too small for him. But they’re really nice. Cosy, easy to wash and dry and seem to wick away urine really well so he stays dry. Nice little beds and would buy again.

Guinea pigs weren't keen and the bottom on one leaks. The quality is okay for the price but the base needs more padding so will add a little vet bed and try again.

I am very happy with the product. My guinea pigs are obsessed with their new beds. Right size, not those round beds where guinea pigs barely fit. It is long enough and comfortable. I find my pigs in the bed most of the times.

I’m really quite disappointed as this is smaller than it states and it’s really bad quality as it’s thin and no padding. I had high hopes for this so I am a bit disappointed

When I first received this product, I was disappointed so returned it. Oddly, I then received one as a present from someone else, so I used it thinking it would not survive long, but, it turns out, I, and all 3 of my piggies LOVE this bed! Lots of reviews say it's hard to clean and hand washing takes its toll, so I put it in the washing machine with all my other piggy blankets which are washed at 70 degrees with detergent and white vinegar to kill the ammonia and thought, it's got 2 chances! It comes up brilliantly!! It's been in and out of the wash now for several weeks and when it's in the wash I really think my girls miss it! As soon as it gets added back to the cage it's barely ever empty! One of them is always napping in it!! I've therefore decided to buy another one again so I can have one in the cage while the other is in the wash! When I extend my cage, I'll probably get 2 more and have 2 in the cage and 2 in the wash!There is no padding in the bottom of this bed, just the fleece fabric, so it could be worth having something soft underneath it, but that doesn't seem to bother my girls. It's most definitely not the best quality, but considering piggies wee and poo wherever they sit and sleep, it handles that very well. I have paid a lot more money for products that dont deal with heavy use in any way, and they've all since ended up in the bin, for me, this is absolutely perfect!

This is a great bed for a guinea pig and nice and big! Great value for money

No idea if it's easy to clean or if it has good absorbency. I requested a return.The softness is only around the edges, in the middle there is no padding at all, just material which sort of defeats the purpose of marketing a bed as "soft" (soft for what? The animals skin as it brushes past the edges or if they lay their head on the outside?). It's a bit disappointing from this brand because I've purchased other really good items from them. I bought it for my tiny dwarf bunny, maybe its more suitable for other small animals who wouldn't mind only having a thing piece of fabric between them and the hard floor.
