Fast acting
My "Little Green Plant" was in sad shape. Using BIO-520 has made such a difference! After starting the BIO-520, the improvement was much more noticeable and happened quickly. This is a great product, I highly recommend it. Thank You!

Instructions for use are hard to find
So I ordered this hoping to increase the yields in my veg garden, but it’s not growing season quite yet where I am. I fully plan on coming back to update this review when I do use it. From what I can tell so far, although it comes in a small package, a little goes a long way in terms of use. The small bottle arrives with zero instructions for use, but a QR code to scan to bring you to the product website. I had hoped for a tab on the site that was clearly labeled “Instructions for use”, but unfortunately there was none. I more or less had to sift through all the fine print on the entire site before I found mention of the fact that it’s diluted at a ratio of 1 to 1000 parts of irrigation water. Since there are 256 tablespoons in a US gallon, that works out to be 1 tablespoon in 4 gallons of water. No word on frequency, I’m guessing every time you water? This stuff better be pretty good after making me do all that detective work and math, lol! I’ll come back this summer to update this review after I’ve had a chance to use it.

2nd UPDATE - 10 weeks, dropped to 2 stars, not impressed
The media could not be loaded. 10 week UPDATE - March 27, 2023. It has now been about 10 weeks since I started this test and to be honest, while there is a very slight size increase in a two of the plants, 4 of the six varieties show no discernable differences. I actually ended up having to add liquid fertilizer to both the Bio and the baseline, water only plants, as they were both turning yellow. Both groups are doing ok, they both look essentially the same and exhibit identical growth patterns. I cannot recommend this product.4 Week Update, February 21, 2023 – Not Impressed. Note: in the video file, please excuse the lines, they are from the grow light. I said when I started this that I would be updating as time goes on. For our experiment we started seven types of heirloom plants – Sugar Snap Peas, Lima Beans (bush), Black Diamond Eggplant, Brussels Sprouts, Cherry Tomatoes, Borghese Tomatoes and Romanesque Tomatoes. The seeds were divided into two groups. One group would only receive water with the recommended 1000:1 mixture of Bio520. The other group would only receive water. No fertilizers or additional additives are used in either group. All conditions for all seeds and plants have been identical. Same dirt, same heat, same growing medium, same light, same amount of liquid, same application standard, scheduled rearrangement of pots for balance. The only difference has been that one group is watered twice a day with Bio520 mixture and the other is watered twice a day with only water. On January 24, the seeds began in paper towels for 7 days, which accomplished nothing on either side. They were then moved into seed trays and they all began to sprout. In both groups we achieved between 95 and 100% germination rates. At three weeks they were culled and transplanted into their final growing pots. I eliminated the Romesque Tomaotes, as I do not have enough physical room to grow them, however, their growth was essentially identical to the Borghese. Now, each pot has between 2 and 4 seedlings. I will allow these to continue to grow for another 2 to 3 weeks and will then cull again to one plant per pot. We are going to attempt to grow these 6 vegetables (I call them all veggies) with only artificial light and heat in my basement. My students in China (and their parents) love this experiment.SO, what have I seen so far? No real difference in growth of any plant. I cannot see, at this point, that Bio520 is doing anything more than plain water. This experiment has been both photographed every 3 days and video recorded and will continue to be. At four weeks I cannot see where Bio520 has any added value, but we shall see. I still remain at 3 stars, Neutral, but for now I’m tilting downwards.Original Review --- Bio520 is one of those products that cannot and should not be reviewed quickly. I will be returning to this review several times over the course of the next 8 – 10 months and updating. I am starting this on-going review with 3 stars, a neutral rating. As time goes on I will be adjusting that, up or down as needed.I am an avid, home gardener with veggies and fruits. In addition, I teach English online to kids in China. Each year the kids decide what we will grow and where to place it in one of my 3 small gardens. The kids all live in giant cities, so this gives them a rural atmosphere and insight into where food comes from. Last year they did the whole seed to harvest thing, starting in March. We do our seeds in my temperature controlled basement. This year we take it an additional step and we are going to attempt to grow a few tomato and pepper plants in my basement, over the winter and through the season, in addition to the normal garden growth. I use only heirloom seeds and we are starting our process two months earlier than normal. I have built multiple seed starting benches and have several different grow light systems. The kids are going to enjoy this, as it will become an on-going science/horticulture/marketing experiment for them. For this review series, I’ll be doing a side-by-side comparison of “seeds to plants” of several of the varieties. All growing environments will be identical, with the exception of the addition of the Bio520 on half of the specimens. Stay tuned, it could be a very bumpy ride.Note: I have been an Amazon customer for almost 20 years. I write all of my reviews to reflect my personal observations and opinions on a product. It matters not if I have purchased the item myself or if it was provided to me for review. My goal is to provide other potential customers as much real-world knowledge as possible to make an informed decision. In most cases I will return to my review in 6 months or less to see if I should alter my original observations. In no case will the cost of a product influence my opinions at all. In addition, I will try to include multiple images and or videos on each product, if practical.

My plants apparently do not like this stuff
I started my garden seedlings indoors in early February and waited until they had their first true leaves to begin any fertilizer regimen. I did the math and mixed this mineral concentrate on the low side of the recommended, using about 1/2 teaspoon to a gallon of water (non-chlorinated). Just days after application, I was noticing a proliferation of yellowing leaves. I panicked a bit, as I have hundreds of seedlings going and depend on them for my summer garden. Realizing that the few seedlings that I didn't apply these minerals to were not turning yellow, I flushed the soil of the worst of the yellowing ones with water. After the plants had recovered, which they did, I tried again, this time experimenting with a lighter dose and only a few trays of seedlings. Same thing, but not as drastic. So, apparently my seedlings don't need a dose of minerals at this stage. I don't refute the value and effectiveness of this product, because I think it has a place in helping to restore mineral-depleted soils; I do suggest that home gardeners proceed with caution and perhaps test your soil and water before you decide that you need extra minerals, especially in growing seedlings indoors. I will be experimenting with this more when my plants go into the garden and will update if it appears they benefit from it.

Small but powerful
My mistake but I expected a huge container. I then read the instructions and realized how concentrated this was. Better for me not to store something so big. Though it is winter and I will not have my garden up and running for a few months, I decided to give it a try on my houseplants. I use a dropper and filled an empty plastic milk gallon. I mixed two drops in since it states a ratio of 1:500. Better safe than over doing it. Well, it is now two weeks later and my plants seem greener and I think it is due to the fertilizer. I will see this spring when I plant all my veggies. I am optimistic this will help with their growth.
